ANI was invited to join a programme where I spent 24 hours simulating life as a breast cancer patient through an app.
I went in feeling skeptical, with little understanding of what someone with breast cancer might go through. I came away with a lot less certainty — and a lot more empathy.
I made this short film to share the emotional journey I went through in those 24 hours. It is my hope that this sharing is something of value — a small glimpse into the realities many breast cancer patients face, and a reminder of why standing in solidarity with patients and caregivers matters so deeply.
And if you have someone close who is facing this journey — I hope this offers a small sense of connection.
Maybe they don’t need us to fix it. Maybe they simply need us to show up and be there.
