We got to ride it on a pass holder preview day & loved it!
Similar to Space Mountain as an indoor coaster, but it’s interactive and you go backwards on part of the track.
🚀Up to 40mph
🚀Minimum 36” (with adult)
🚀Minimum 48” (unaccompanied)
🚀Rider switch available
You start by getting a band & picking different details for your ship. The band scans your ship’s image when you get on the ride.
This is a video of the full track, the whole coaster portion takes just over 1 minute, & it’s so worth it.
We will definitely be going on this coaster again!

MALEGO Galaxy at LEGOLAND California just opened 10 days ago and we were some of the first families to experience it. Here is our honest first look!
The new Galacticoaster is LEGOLAND California’s first new roller coaster in over 20 years and also their first ever indoor coaster. We watched a video before the trip and decided to skip it with my cautious 9 year old. Watching families come off the ride, reactions were genuinely split. Some kids were begging to go again and some parents were reassuring their kids they never had to do it again. So if you have a thrill-seeker, they will probably love it. If your kid is more like mine, there is still SO much to do.
The surprise hit of our visit was the Rocket Assembly Bay where my son spent a full hour building his own LEGO rocket and watching it launch digitally. That alone made the whole trip worth it for him.
The space theming throughout the land is incredible, the food spots are cute and actually fun to hang out in, and there is a character meet plus exclusive LEGO Galaxy merch at the gift shop.
If your kid is more of a builder than a thrill-seeker, save this because LEGO Galaxy was made for them. And if you are planning a LEGOLAND California trip with older kids, share this with another parent who needs to see it before they go!

What makes this coaster so cool? You actually design your own spacecraft before you ride at digital Customization Bays. Choose your ship’s nose, wings, tail, and even a fun feature (like a disco ball or balloons 🎈). With 625+ spacecraft combinations, every mission through the LEGO galaxy is totally unique! Once your ship is built, you scan your wristband and see yourself riding in the spacecraft you created. 🤯
Before launch, you’ll get a mission briefing from Biff Dipper, the park’s first robotic minifigure, then it’s time to blast off into an indoor coaster adventure full of twists, turns, glowing stars, LEGO Space elements, onboard music, and lighting effects that make you feel like you’re flying through the cosmos. ✨
