The "Going Merry" and "Thousand Sunny" are the two ships of the
Straw Hat Pirates in the One Piece series. The Going Merry was their first ship, a caravel, that they used throughout the East Blue and into the Grand Line until it was destroyed. The Thousand Sunny, a brigantine, was built to replace it and is the current ship of the Straw Hat Pirates.

First Ship: The Going Merry was the first ship of the Straw Hat Pirates.
Caravel Class: It is a caravel-class ship.
Gift from Kaya: It was a gift from Kaya to the Straw Hats for saving her.
Sentimental Value: The crew grew very attached to the Going Merry, considering it a friend and part of the crew.
Extensive Damage: It endured significant damage throughout its travels, including being blown up, impaled, and sliced.
Viking Funeral: It was given a Viking funeral after helping the Straw Hats escape
Enies Lobby.
Spirit Lives On: Though destroyed, its spirit is said to live on in the Thousand
Sunny.
Mini Merry II: A small boat, the Mini Merry II, was built by Franky and is docked inside the Thousand Sunny, as a tribute to the Going Merry.

Second Ship: The Thousand Sunny is the second and current ship of the Straw Hat Pirates.
Brigantine Class: It is a brigantine-style ship.
Built by Franky: It was designed and built by Franky, with help from Iceburg and other master shipwrights.
Adam Wood: It is made from Adam Wood, a very durable material.
Larger than Going Merry: It is at least twice the size of the Going Merry.
Advanced Features: It includes various features requested by the Straw Hat crew.
Inspired by Oro Jackson: Franky designed the Thousand Sunny with inspiration from his mentor Tom's ship, the Oro Jackson.
Soldier Dock System: It features a Soldier Dock System with various specialized compartments.
