Tiny black dots on the skin are most commonly sebaceous filaments or blackheads. While they look similar, they differ in nature and treatment. Sebaceous filaments are natural, tube-like structures that help guide oil (sebum) to the skin's surface, appearing as light, gray, or yellowish dots. Blackheads are a type of acne that form when pores become clogged with oil and dead skin, then oxidize to turn black.  Key Differences and Causes Sebaceous Filaments: Natural,, part of the pore structure, and usually flat. If squeezed, a thin, waxy thread emerges. They are normal, particularly on the nose, chin, and forehead. Blackheads (Comedones): A form of acne, slightly raised, and darker due to oxidation. They represent a clogged pore. Other Causes: Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH): Dark spots left after acne, eczema, or skin trauma. Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra: Tiny, benign black dots common on the face and neck of people with darker skin tones. Keratin Plugs (Keratosis Pilaris): Hard, skin-colored or dark bumps (sometimes called "chicken skin") caused by excess keratin. Dilated Pore of Winer: A single, large, stubborn blackhead.  How to Manage/Treat While you cannot eliminate sebaceous filaments permanently, you can minimize their appearance.  1. At-Home Care (Targeting Filaments & Blackheads) Salicylic Acid (BHA): Cleanses inside the pores, dissolving the oil buildup. Retinoids (Retinol/Tretinoin): Increase cell turnover to prevent pore clogging. Double Cleansing: Using an oil-based cleanser followed by a water-based cleanser can help dissolve sebum. Clay Masks: Help absorb excess oil. Avoid Over-squeezing: Aggressive, manual extraction can lead to irritation, enlarged pores, or scars.  2. Products Pimple/Acne Patches: Hydrocolloid patches can help absorb fluids from inflamed pores. Exfoliants: Daily use of chemical exfoliants like glycolic or lactic acid can help.  3. Professional Treatments Facials/Extractions: A professional can safely remove deep blackheads. Chemical Peels: Remove the top layer of skin to unclog pores. Laser Therapy: Effective for persiste LIKE SHARE AND FOLLOW TO GET MORE. #skincare #scince #medical #reels #short

Comment “💛” for the full recipe link Rule no. 1 always trust what Indian kitchens have known for centuries 🫶🏽 Why this actually works: ∙ 2tbsp Atta (wheat flour) physically grips the hair and pulls it out — like a natural exfoliant that actually removes ∙ 1 tsp Haldi (turmeric) has curcumin which weakens the hair follicle and slows regrowth over time, also reduces pigmentation ∙ 1 tsp Ghee (clarified butter) creates a protective barrier so skin stays moisturised and doesn’t react ∙ 1-2 tsp Doodh (milk) has lactic acid which breaks down the hair at the root making removal easier and less painful Mix until it comes together like a soft, pliable dough not too sticky, not too dry. Think roti dough consistency but softer. You can adjust ghee if your skin is dry (add more) or if you’re oily/acne-prone (use less, or swap milk for rose water). ∙ Works on face too — upper lip, chin, cheeks ✨ ∙ Regular use = follicle gets weaker each time, hair comes back finer and sparser No hot wax. No razor bumps. Literally just your kitchen shelf. Patch test before anything, especially on your face How to: ∙ Mix a small amount and apply on your inner wrist or behind your ear ∙ Leave for 20 mins ∙ No redness or itching = you’re good ∙ Wait 24 hours before applying on face Your dadi knew what she was doing 💛 #hairremoval #ayurveda #india #peachfuzz #loi

Making a face mask with ground rice, milk, and honey can help your skin because each ingredient supports it in a different way. Ground rice acts as a gentle exfoliant, helping remove dead skin cells and smooth texture. Milk contains lactic acid, which lightly exfoliates and brightens the skin while adding softness. Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it draws moisture into the skin and helps keep it hydrated. Together, they help improve glow and smoothness without being overly harsh. The exfoliation clears dull buildup, the milk refreshes the surface, and the honey seals in hydration. While it’s not a medical treatment, using this type of mask occasionally can leave skin feeling softer, brighter, and more balanced.
