The point of marketing isn’t just to attract the right people, it’s also to show the wrong people the door 🚪 buh byeeee But when you water down your voice, your opinions, or even something “minor” like your brand photos… You’re keeping yourself stuck in the “I’m for everyone” category. Which might seem easier. More people = more potential customers, right? Buuuut from someone who’s tried that before, lemme tell you... it’s not it. When you try to appeal to everyone and never ruffle any feathers, you build this watered-down community of people who aren’t really YOUR people. When your marketing is bland and inoffensive, you attract price shoppers and people who see you as interchangeable with your competitors. They can’t see the difference... because you’re not showing HOW you’re different. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But when you show up with a clear point of view? When you’re willing to be a little polarizing? When you say the scary thing that might piss some people off? Well then... ➡️ you repel the tire-kickers and attract the HELL YES clients. The people who are actually funnn to work with, don’t bat an eye at your prices and fit into your business as smooth as Cinderella’s glass slipper. My point is this: Be polarizing. Have opinions. Say the things that might ruffle some feathers. The wrong people will leave, but the right ones will start paying even closer attention. And that’s exactly the point. 👀
