JE📚✨ Come for a book, leave with bongos! Costa Mesa’s Donald Dungan Library is redefining what it means to ‘check something out.’
Through the OC Public Libraries’ Library of Things, you can borrow over 1,200 items—from sewing machines and gardening tools to pickleball sets, telescopes, film scanners, and yes… even bongos! 🎶
The program started with just 45 items last spring but exploded thanks to a $75,000 Sustainable California Libraries grant—making it easier than ever to try a new hobby, test gear before buying, or tackle that one-time project without clutter or cost.
You must be 18+, can borrow up to 2 items at a time for 21 days, and returns go back to the original branch. No holds or renewals—but the possibilities? Endless.
