With the Garrett G35-1050 already helping the 3.0L setup put down 833 WHP and 710 lb-ft of torque, the new 3.4L should bring even more torque, response, and usable power across the rev range which is what you want in a competitive drift car.

VPProud to say Connor’s G35 build has finally been completed! About 17psi on e85 to make a respectable 632whp 😎 the setup has a lot more in it but we’re going to leave here for the time being so it can be driven and enjoyed
I don’t what it is about DE’s, but this one threw some of the most catastrophic issues our way through out the process. Most people would’ve threw in the towel early on but Connor stuck it out til end. I can tell the guy genuinely loves this car and understands what it takes to get to this point.
Build details:
Link ECU complete with flex fuel, boost control, dual AFR in full time closed loop per bank, oil pressure with custom safety, ignition limiter vs stock ecu fuel cut, knock per cylinder, two stage brushless fuel pump control, every VQ tuners dream, iykyk
Built VQ35DE: Diamond 9.5:1 pistons, forged rods, L19 head studs, tomei cams, HR/VHR oil pump gear set, OEM HR head gaskets
Turbo kit: Mona Lisa G35-1050 custom variant for the G35 chassis, 3.5in downpipe, full custom 3.5in exhaust, aluminum charge pipes with vanjen clamps where possible for easy serving, massive treadstone intercooler, stock intake manifold

Fusebox update
There’s still a lot left to do. I’m planning to switch over to a Link ECU. Right now, I’m running a Power FC L-Jetro, but I want to move to D-Jetro, which means I’ll need to change the ECU. After a lot of research, I’ve found that Link is much more user-friendly compared to others.
To be honest, I don’t have experience tuning ECUs yet, but I’m determined to learn everything step by step. Link seems like a great option, especially since it works well with my Powertune digital dash and offers a lot of flexibility for tuning.
I may not fully know what I’m doing yet, but I’m taking it slow, learning every day, and working toward getting this machine running and dialed in. My goal is to push around 350–400 hp.

今はまだ手探りですが、毎日少しずつ学びながら、このマシンを始動させて調整していきたいと思っています。最終的には350〜400馬力を目指しています。

BLBit of a long video but I was excited to show the BTS of this project. For context, during stop and go traffic (which we see a lot here in Indonesia), the oil cooler doesn’t get enough airflow. This was especially bad when the oil cooler was sandwiched between the intercooler and radiator. As soon as the intercooler got heat soaked, the entire rest of the system would snowball and get hotter very quickly.
After moving the cooler to the side, adding fans and ducting, temperatures were much more stable. During traffic, both coolant and oil temp stay around 90c/190f whereas before it would continue to gradually rise, especially at peak noon.
The fans are controlled via the Link ECU and relays, so they are separate from the radiator fans. I am bothered by the big hump you see that was necessary for clearance with the intercooler piping so maybe a v2 will be happening soon. Anyways, I hope this little ramble was interesting to even a few of you 🫡
