Stop chasing dopamine hits and chatgpt advice and start building something real: 1. Start writing: It can be a book, a script, or a series of letters. It can be on a blog or in your journal but you NEED to start writing. Writing not only helps you get your thoughts in order but it helps you become more eloquent, organised, and an intellectual person. 2. Learn a new language: Being a polyglot is one of the most underrated skills in this world. Human beings have been given the gift of complex communication and it is your responsibility to utilise it!!! Mod your duolingo or join a local class but learn a new language today. 3. Work on a research paper: If you’re interested in a field and are currently in high school or college, this is the perfect time to begin working on a research paper. This will help you read more and critically analyse what you read. 4. Make a short film or a documentary: Gather a band of friends, a mobile phone or a camera, and someone with a laptop. You’re all set to make a short film. Remember it doesn’t have to be amazing, it just needs to exist. 5. Finally read or join a literary magazine. Our attention spans are reducing day by day to the point young people cannot read anymore. In this situation, replace your daily reel time with a short story from a litmag. Keep litmags alive because they’re the foundation of literature. * Follow for more. We don’t use Al for our captions. * #booktok #litmag #brainrot #anti-intellectualism #trending...

Tune in 𖦹THIS FRIDAY𖦹 evening for another edition of the Story Hour! Listen to hear Akshara Gudipati share her original works, soundtracked by The Stink. Keep your ears tuned for themes of otherness, connectedness, grief, and the magical. Gudipati describes her writing as “a way of holding a mirror up to myself and my thoughts and making sense of who I am through what I see in the reflection. It’s a way for me to take pieces of my experiences and my imagination that I find beauty in and puzzle them together into a new reality.” She says she is “most inspired by other writers around me rather than well-established ones. In high school, I was part of the staff for my school’s literary magazine, so I had a really good community of writers around me that I could share my work with and learn from. It was such a great experience because you can really learn a lot about someone through what they put on the page, and everyone had their own unique strengths and specialties that helped me grow my own skills. I love learning more about writing from the people around me, and I would say they are the ones who inspire me the most.” Gudipati hopes that everyone takes time to appreciate more art, saying “art is a way of interpreting the world and humanity in a more beautiful way, and we would not survive without it.” 𖦹𖦹𖦹

In ecology, an edge habitat is a dynamic liminal space where two adjacent ecosystems meet and merge. Touching on landscapes, climate change, memory, mental illness, and motherhood, Elizabeth Moore’s poems invite us to inhabit our own raw edges with empathy, openness, and humor, asking what it means to live meaningfully and hopefully in a world perpetually on edge. Edge Habitat is a love song for anyone who has ever felt caught in between—and for all of us longing for some kind of home on the brink. #poetry #landscape #climatechange #mentalillness #motherhood Elizabeth Moore is the author of The Truth and the Life (Alternative Book Press), and her poetry has appeared in Pangyrus, Print Funeral, Boston Literary Magazine, and Mass Poetry’s The Hard Work of Hope series. She lives with her husband and two sons in Massachusetts. https://www.finishinglinepress.com/product/edge-habitat-by-elizabeth-moore/ @emoore_writes

[OC] 2025 was a lot. The 10-year anniversary of officially being Midna127 honestly paled in comparison to everything that led to it: presenting at an elite academic convention (in Huey Emmerich cosplay!), getting published in a literary magazine, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and finally going to California to visit the love of my life @tekkie_epsilon AND volunteer at MGSCON! Unfortunately, it was also paired with harassment, my stalker returning, worsening depression, and some of the weirdest DMs yet (I'M NOT DOING CRYPTO FINDOM YOU WEIRDOS). But despite everything, we both made it to 2026, and I'm so thankful you're here. Thank you especially to my beloved partner of 6 years for putting up with me; @lawyer_enjoyer for going out of his way to meet up for the first time irl; @miggitymag @timbaksh and @heather.halley in particular for helping make MGSCON 3 worth the wait (and also everyone else involved, including three other guests, but I'm too scared to tag them); @arttreyn and @shibufluff for being so supportive in my darkest moments; @sailor___motherfucking___dreps for being so inspiring despite his Instagram situation; everyone in the Club 127 server for all the amazing conversations, art, and memes this year; and finally you. Thank you for continuing to be you, no matter what happened this year. I hope 2026 is good to you all :)
