🧪 Immunostaining is one of the main techniques in biological research as it allows you to visually detect and localise proteins of interest within your cells and tissues. 🥼 When immunostaining works, it gives you beautiful, colourful and really useful data. But when it doesn’t work, you can often get no signal at all and disappointingly stare at the black screen. This lack of signal can be due to the fact that the antibody you selected for a target protein didn’t bind successfully. Proteintech @proteintech came up with a solution to avoid this and developed a 3D Epitope Mapping tool which will help you to visualise exactly where your antibody binds on the protein’s 3D structure. This tool helps you choose antibodies that will actually work in your experimental conditions, so you can spend less time trying different antibodies and more time getting results!
