MI2.5 years ago, I said yes to something that scared me.
Since then: a master’s degree, a divorce, motherhood, running a business, and many seasons of simply trying to survive. And somehow… I still did it. I still graduated.
Practicum changed me. It was reassuring, humbling, and wild all at once. I thought I understood money trauma from years of working in this space, but sitting with people in the therapy room showed me how deep these stories really go. Social media conversations are one thing. Real human pain, resilience, shame, hope, and healing in the room is another.
I learned so much about people. I learned even more about myself. And I feel so excited that this gets to be the work I continue for the rest of my career.
I turn 36 this year, and one thing I know for sure is this: we get to keep deciding what our lives can look like. We get to pivot. We get to begin again. We get to take risks when they matter.
Life is too short for “one day.”
