We proudly displayed the Cayman Islands flag — a simple, respectful tribute to those whose contributions continue to guide our nation forward. #NationalHeroesDay #CaymanIslands #CaymanProud #HonouringOurHeroes

On Monday, 9 March, the Cayman Islands commemorated Commonwealth Day 2026, joining countries and territories across the Commonwealth under the theme, “Unlocking Opportunities Together for a Prosperous Commonwealth.” The observance, held on the front lawn of the Government Administration Building, brought together senior government officials, civil servants, and parliamentarians as Dr. John-Paul Clarke, President of the Cayman Islands Branch of the Commonwealth Society, delivered a message from the Commonwealth Secretary-General. In keeping with tradition, Miss Willa Partridge from the Girlguiding Cayman Islands Association, read the Commonwealth Affirmation, reflecting both local pride and global solidarity. The ceremony culminated with the raising of the Commonwealth flag by Her Excellency the Governor, Jane Owen.

The National Coalition For Caymanians (NCFC) Government, led by the Premier the Hon. André Ebanks, welcomed a highly productive four days in Parliament as a number of our country’s longstanding challenges were addressed collaboratively. “Many of the issues debated and resolved in Parliament last week and this week are matters that Caymanians – for years – have asked to be addressed. The question has never been whether these challenges exist; it has been how they should be resolved. This Government is focused on delivering those results thoughtfully, responsibly and with the long- term interests of Caymanians at the centre.” Click the link in bio to read the full update.

In recognition of Women’s Month, I had the privilege of participating in a panel discussion hosted by the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture & Heritage, alongside fellow women in Parliament. The conversation focused on the importance of unity, collaboration, and creating spaces where women’s voices are heard, valued, and amplified, not only in leadership, but across our communities. It was especially meaningful to engage with women from across different sectors, share perspectives, and discuss the work being done to support women and families throughout the Cayman Islands. When women come together to support, mentor, and uplift one another, we strengthen not only our communities, but our country as a whole. Grateful to be part of these important conversations and to continue advocating for opportunities that empower women and future generations. #WomensMonth #WomenInLeadership #CaymanIslands #StrongerTogether #GiveToGain ForLoveOfCountry

On 6 March 2026, I had the privilege of attending the launch of the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians Cayman Islands Branch — a truly proud and historic moment for our islands. 🇰🇾 Being present at this event brought back many memories of my time working in Parliament under the leadership of strong and knowledgeable Caymanian women such as Honourable Sybil McLaughlin, MBE, JP, National Hero; Mrs. Georgette Marie, Clerk of Legislative Assembly; and Honourable Edna Moyle, OBE, JP. Their leadership and dedication helped pave the way for the women who continue to serve today. As International Women’s Day approaches, it felt especially fitting to witness this milestone. The room was filled with remarkable women whose strength, knowledge, and commitment truly represent the very best that the Cayman Islands has to offer. I take this opportunity to congratulate the women parliamentarians on achieving this significant milestone. I wish and pray that this branch will have a powerful and lasting impact across our islands. Happy Women’s Day to all the hardworking, courageous, loving, and generous women we have in these beautiful Cayman Islands. 💐 #women #leadership #cayman #parliament #event

Recently, I had the honour of representing the Minister of National Security and Peace, the Honourable Dr. Horace Chang at the JCF National Neighbourhood Watch Conference in Mandeville. In my remarks, I challenged us as Jamaicans to confront a hard truth: we are more digitally connected than ever, yet often disconnected from the neighbours living right beside us. Crime does not thrive where communities are strong — it thrives where community has weakened. I emphasised that national security is not the responsibility of the police alone. It requires partnership, participation, and practical action — from installing community cameras and improving lighting, to mentoring at-risk youth, maintaining public spaces, and simply checking on our elderly neighbours. Safe communities protect lives, protect property values, protect businesses, and protect Jamaica’s brand. Neighbourhood Watch must evolve from simply watching — to building: Building unity. Building trust. Building pride. Because national security does not begin in Kingston. It begins on your street. #RoadToRecovery2_0 #MNSJamaica #NeighbourhoodWatch
