JE🗼 Tokyo moves different
Last night at Music Bar Bounce, Hip-hop heads from all over the world were shoulder to shoulder, speaking the same language without talking, just a couple of drinks, head bumpin, records spinnin, and a shared understanding that transcends languages.
So of course, this morning I’m diggin at Disk Union, one of the premier record shops in Japan! And the energy is the same, crates full of history, vinyl heads of all ages trying to find some gold. Jazz breaks, dusty loops, rare pressings… the kind of records that remind you hip hop isn’t just music, it’s culture, style, energy!
Japan doesn’t just respect the craft, Japan honors it. Hip-Hop is alive and well in Tokyo! The way they preserve records, the way people listen, the way the whole scene feels so authentic and intentional.
Yeah, the food out here is incredible… the sights are amazing, but if you know me, it’s all about the people, the culture, & experiencing it! Much love to @musicbarbounce & @baku_kaikoo for the love and hospitality! Thank you @diskunion for the swag and Vinyl! 🙏🏽
