Long marriages aren’t built on constant happiness. They’re built on staying. On talking when it’s uncomfortable. On not leaving when it’s hard. That’s not glamorous. It’s steady. -Doris & Donnie #marriageadvice #couples #marriagetips #marriagewisdom #relationshipgoals❤️

First off, this is in no way meant to bash anyone who has gone through or is currently walking through a divorce. I understand there are real situations and circumstances where divorce is justified. But I also believe most marriages that end could have been saved. Sure not easily or overnight but through effort, humility, and two people willing to say: “I’m putting my pride aside. I’m choosing to work through this.” We live in a world now that tells us to move on the moment things get hard. To chase how we feel in the moment. To go find something “better” and somewhere along the way, divorce became normal. But just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s how it was designed to be. Marriage was never meant to be easy. It was meant to be intentional and to be fought for. So if you’re walking through a hard season right now know that your marriage is worth fighting for. And if you make it through this season, I promise, it will bring you closer. Your kids will feel that. They’ll benefit from it. As someone who has divorced parents, it impacts you more than you think. One of the greatest gifts you can give your kids is showing them what it looks like to stay, to work, and to fight for your marriage. #love #marriage #husbandandwife #marriagetips #couples

Here is what I now know about men 👇 ✨Firstly, follow @sophieorozcocoaching for more on reviving your marriage.✨ For years, I didn’t understand men. I was raised in a house with four sisters and a dad who traveled a lot, so I didn’t have many men around me to learn from. I had to figure things out the hard way in my own marriage… through disconnection, misunderstandings, and some really painful seasons where we felt more like roommates than partners. But here’s what I’ve learned and what I wish every spouse knew: 1️⃣ Men are often simpler than we assume. They want peace. They want to feel like they’re doing a good job. And deep down, they want to make you happy too. 2️⃣ A lot of conflict comes from overcomplicating what’s actually a simple need. Most of the time, it’s not about the argument. It’s about feeling valued. 3️⃣ Respect hits different for men. When a man feels respected, he tends to show up stronger by being more loving, more protective, more present. 4️⃣ Men are emotional too. They just process it differently. Sometimes they shut down, go quiet, or get defensive not because they don’t care… but because they don’t feel safe or capable in that moment. 5️⃣ Men and women are different emotionally, mentally, energetically. Expecting each other to react the same way sets both of you up to feel disappointed and alone. 💔 And here’s the truth: Most marriages don’t fall apart because there’s no love. They fall apart because the connection gets buried under stress, resentment, and the constant feeling of “we’re missing each other.” But the good news? That can be rebuilt. Not by waiting for the other person to change first but by learning how to shift what’s happening between you. If your marriage has started to feel like roommate mode… you’re not alone. And you’re not stuck. ✨ Comment “MARRIAGE” and I’ll send a free guide that will transform your marriage. Love ❤️ Sophie #love #marriage #marriagecoach #marriagetips #relationshipadvice

This video was from 2020 🥹 The Realities of an Age Gap Relationship: What I’ve Learned Today marks the anniversary of the day I met the love of my life. Here are four lessons I’ve learned being married to a man 30 years older than me: ✨ 1: People will judge you—and that’s okay. Our relationship isn’t conventional, but then again, I’ve never been a conventional kind of person. The people who truly know us see how much Martin and I love each other, and at the end of the day, that’s all that matters. When you have the kind of love that gives you unwavering confidence and peace, outside opinions lose their weight. ✨ 2: He’s lived more life than me—and I embrace that. There’s a reason wisdom comes with age. Martin has guided me through so many life lessons, saving me from learning things the hard way. I’ve never been more grateful to be a student of love, life, and partnership. ✨ 3: Chivalry isn’t dead—it just belongs to a different era. Before Martin, I didn’t know people still practiced old-school romance. Not only does he pull out my chair, but if I excuse myself from the table, he stands up. Every day, he makes me feel cherished in a way I never knew was possible. ✨ 4: Mature love doesn’t fight—it listens. Before Martin, I thought all relationships had to involve arguments. But when you’re with someone emotionally mature, conflicts become conversations. There’s no screaming, no silent treatment—just understanding, compromise, and accountability. This is the healthiest love I’ve ever known. I never thought I’d find a love like this, but I did. And if this kind of relationship speaks to you, I hope you find your own Martin too. ❤️ (Tag your person, share this with someone who needs to hear it, and let me know your thoughts in the comments!) @stephthatredhead . . . . . . , , #agegaprelationship #marriagetips #lifetimepartner #soulmate

Ever looked at your partner and thought: “HOW is this not obvious?” 😅 Welcome to one of the greatest relationship tests: patience when your brain and their brain speak different languages. What makes sense to you may truly not register the same way for them. Not because they don’t care. Not because they’re difficult. But because they process, prioritize, and interpret the world differently. In relationships, impatience often shows up when: • We assume our logic is universal • We expect mind-reading instead of communication • We confuse “different” with “wrong” 💡 Helpful shifts that build patience (and connection): • Pause before correcting → ask how they’re seeing it • Replace “It’s obvious” with “Help me understand” • Remember: speed ≠ intelligence, and clarity ≠ care • Curiosity calms conflict faster than frustration ever will Patience isn’t about tolerating your partner. It’s about learning their operating system—and realizing yours isn’t the default. ❤️‍🩹 If love feels more exhausting than fulfilling, it’s time for professional help: Sessions in English & Español ❤️ 👉Book directly from my profile #Therapist #couplestherapy #relationships #marriagetips #marriagehumor
#Marriagetips Reel by @kellyconnects - Feeling irritated with each other sometimes.

Feeling irritated with each other sometimes. Needing space. Not always being emotionally available. Getting triggered by the same things over and over again. Needing hard conversations. Having phases where connection feels thin. None of that means your relationship is broken. It means you are two nervous systems, two histories, two attachment styles… trying to share a life. Social media turned normal relationship friction into red flags. So now people are constantly scanning their partner for proof they should leave. That is dangerous. Because healthy relationships are not conflict free. They are repair rich. Real love looks like this: • Learning how to fight without destroying each other. • Learning how to stay when it is uncomfortable. • Learning how to come back after you mess up. • Learning how to talk about the same wound more than once. Most people do not need a new partner. They need new skills. That is what I teach inside my five‑day course, Conversations to Change Your Relationship. Not how to be perfect. But how to stay emotionally safe, connected, and close when real life shows up. Comment CHANGE and I will send you the link.
