1. Orange Grove Lodge #293 was formed in 1885 and is older than the city of Orange itself!
2. They purchased the Campbell Opera house that showcased vaudeville shows and also includes the building for Pandor and 1886. It’s a huge building!
3. In the basement, you can actually look underneath the floor of 1886 and see the original dirt that the orange plaza was built on! Just imagine horse and carriages riding in that dirt.
4. The original vault used for the bank of Italy is also in the basement. Hence the jewelry The Vault built right above it. The vault that is filled with historic documents dating as far back as 1884!
5. I saved my favorite for last, there is a plugged tunnel that leads underground to the center of the fountain! Do you know of any other hidden tunnels in the Plaza?
