ONRight now, I’m in Mauritius… what people would call “paradise.”
And yet, I’ve never felt so… in limbo..
We left Dubai thinking it would be temporary.
A few days, maybe a couple of weeks… just until things settled.
But now everything feels uncertain.
Schools are online.
Plans are blurry.
And the question keeps coming back…
How long are we actually staying away?
I’m seeing the same patterns everywhere around me:
Some are simply waiting, hoping life goes back to normal soon.
Some are starting to reconsider everything, quietly questioning what comes next.
Some went back home and realised Dubai gave them a life they don’t want to give up.
And some, like us… are just taking it day by day, without clear answers.
And honestly…
This space of not knowing can feel heavy.
It’s not just about where you are.
It’s about the mental load of uncertainty, the constant second-guessing, the inability to plan even the simplest things.
Feels like COVID again.. the uncertainty.. the fear .. the “stuck” feeling of not being able to do anything really ..

The people I expected the most were The ones who shocked me the most and I received a lot of love and support from people I never imagined 🥹🥹🥹🥹
So many of us are navigating this quietly, figuring it out as we go, one day at a time.

COThis underwater waterfall in Mauritius is one of the most mind bending natural illusions on Earth.
From above it looks like the ocean is collapsing into a deep void, but it is actually sand and silt being pulled over the edge of an underwater shelf by strong currents. The contrast between shallow turquoise water and the deep ocean creates the illusion of a massive waterfall beneath the surface.
The best way to see it is from the air on a helicopter flight, where the scale and colors finally make sense. Even knowing how it works does not make it feel any less unreal.

TRThis 4-star all-inclusive hotel has everything you could wish for. What I loved most is how conveniently everything is located — I’m not a fan of walking long distances on vacation, and here you can reach the pool, bars, and main restaurant in just a few steps.
The resort isn’t too large either, which makes the atmosphere feel much more relaxed and exclusive. The beach is absolutely stunning, with incredible turquoise water, and the soft sand makes it perfect for swimming and spending the whole day by the sea.
When it comes to dining, the hotel offers a main restaurant, an à la carte restaurant, and a beach restaurant, so you always have great options throughout the day. There are also several bars across the resort, including a swim-up bar — perfect for enjoying a drink without leaving the pool.
