Why Doctors Practice Needles on Balloons! Before injecting a real patient, doctors and nurses practice on balloons. If the balloon pops, their angle or pressure is wrong. If it doesn’t, they've mastered the needle technique. A simple test… but super important for patient safety. #medicaltraining #facts #nursing #shorts #explained This video is for educational purposes only. In certain medical cases, a tracheostomy (Tracheostomy – فتحة الرغامى) is performed to create a direct airway through the neck, bypassing the nose and mouth. This procedure allows the patient to breathe effectively when the normal upper airway is nonfunctional or obstructed. 🟥🟥 With a tracheostomy, air flows directly into the lungs, making the nose functionally redundant for breathing. Although anatomically present, it no longer serves its usual role of humidifying, filtering, and warming inhaled air. 🟥🟥 The nose may still act as a backup route if the tracheostomy becomes temporarily blocked or if additional airflow is needed. Mouth breathing remains a secondary pathway in emergencies, illustrating the respiratory system’s built-in redundancy. 🟥🟥 Speech can be severely affected in such cases, especially if the tongue is impaired, since it is essential for articulating sounds. Patients often rely on alternative methods for communication due to the compromised natural oral pathway. 🟥🟥 Feeding may require a nasogastric tube (Nasogastric tube – الأنبوب الأنفي المعدي) to deliver nutrition directly to the stomach, bypassing the mouth and pharynx, ensuring safe intake when swallowing is difficult. 🟥🟥 These scenarios highlight the complex interplay between anatomical structures and vital functions, demonstrating how the body depends on alternative pathways or medical interventions to maintain essential life processes when normal anatomy is disrupted. . . . . . #MedicalBreakthroughs #HealthcareHeroes #MedicalResearch #PatientCare #MedicalTechnology #HealthAndWellness #DoctorLife #NursingCare #MedicineInnovation #HealthyLiving #SurgicalSkills #MentalHealthMatters #GlobalHealth #WellnessJourney #MedicalEducation #PediatricCare #EmergencyMedicine #HealthAwareness #HolisticHealth #MedicalUpdates #Telemedicine #WomenInMedicine #MedicalCommunity #PublicHealth #MedicalTraining #MedicalAdvice #HealthEquity #MedicalProfessional #HealthTech #HealthyHabits

Laparoscopic anastomosis is a surgical connection between two structures (such as vessels, ducts, or hollow organs) performed using laparoscopic instruments through small incisions. This technique requires high precision and accuracy, as the surgeon operates under visual control of a camera. Подпишись, чтобы не пропустить новое! This training method is used for new surgery students to improve their hand skills before they work on real patients. The focus is on learning accuracy, not speed. Grape skin is very soft and delicate. Students must use the exact right pressure to pass a needle through it without tearing. This is similar to stitching real human skin. If a student makes a mistake, it is easy to see. This helps them understand how needle angle, spacing, and tension affect proper stitching. Even one small slip can spoil the stitch. Medical schools like this method because it is cheap, safe, and can be practiced again and again with no risk to anyone. It is very helpful for improving hand-eye coordination. By the time students practice on advanced models or real patients, they already have better control, patience, and precision. These skills are very important for patient safety. #medicaltraining #surgeryskills #futuredoctors #medicalstudents #surgicalpractice #handeyecoordination #doctoreducation #learningmedicine

Gone are the days when anyone with a pulse and a steth could get a job or a training number. It’s very difficult for junior doctors at my level to get their first jobs, Many of us are also struggling to get their second jobs. The rate race to build your portfolio along with full time work and family commitments is insane. It is far from ideal and I have really struggled. Instead of giving plab and entering the uk - a better plan now would be to join a training program in your home country 👉give Membership exams (MRCP) 👉 develop your portfolio which means do audits/get into research programs/get published/become a part of departmental teaching 👉 look up Post Grad Certifications that can be done along with work 👉make sure ALS is given. These things are really valued. And then apply for jobs here. The job saturation is real. Doctors at our level are going on strikes due to the lack of career progression. And the toll it takes on our confidence can be unbearable. #nhs #doctor #medicine #medicaltraining #mentalhealthmatters

Many people assume GPs earn far less than hospital specialists. But the reality is more nuanced than people realise. If you’re a medical student considering general practice but worried about income, this is worth understanding. The reality is that GP income is far more flexible than most specialties, and peak earning potential is often reached much earlier. While it won’t match procedural fields like surgery, GP income can be very comparable to many non-procedural specialties. Unlike salaried hospital roles, GP earnings aren’t fixed. They are influenced by factors such as: • Number of sessions worked per week • Billing model (bulk billing vs private) • Patient volume and efficiency • Special interests or procedural work • Practice structure and overheads Some GPs prioritise lifestyle: fewer days, lighter workload, and more balance. Others scale income through extra sessions or niche areas such as skin cancer medicine, women’s health, or occupational medicine. Same specialty. Very different lifestyles and earning outcomes. That flexibility is one of the most attractive aspects of general practice, and why simple “average salary” comparisons can be misleading. GP income is variable, scalable, and lifestyle friendly. Comment “NUMBERS” if you’d like me to break down realistic GP income ranges in Australia. #doctorlife #medlife #medicaltraining #doctorpay #generalpractice
