Meet Glen Gray and Rochelle Walters, the owners of the family-run Movies of Delray and their “brother-sister” theater, Movies of Lake Worth. Movies of Lake Worth has been a community staple since 1978, while Movies of Delray has shared cinematic experiences for over 35 years,
They’re proud to be among the last family-owned and operated art house independent community theaters in all of Palm Beach County. Here, you’ll find not just big blockbusters and Oscar favorites, but also unique and hard-to-find content: art films, documentaries, foreign movies, and film festival favorites you might otherwise miss on streaming platforms.
Community is at the heart of what they do. Glen and Rochelle host film festivals and red carpet premieres, Q&A sessions with directors, producers, and actors, and even welcome student filmmakers for their first grand opening. They encourage conversation and connection after every movie, making the experience more than just what happens on screen.
Glen and Rochelle believe that films are meant to be seen on the big screen, with an audience: so everyone can laugh, cry, and reflect together, leaving behind daily distractions. Their theaters let your mind journey into a story, just as the director intended.
What sets Movies of Delray and Movies of Lake Worth apart?
Both theaters have been family-owned since the eighties, started by their father, and continually updated with state-of-the-art laser projection and Met Opera-level sound.
