Not at all afraid to admit that: 1. After 32years of marriage I hate cooking dinner…so hubby and I had THE CHAT and he is now doing his share and we keep it simple - no pintrest looking dinners here. 2. I don’t like a fancy breakfast out….I find breakfast the easiest meal of the day and eat the same breakfast everyday and don’t get sick of it 3. I prioritise rest and take time out to read in the afternoons and watch Netflix guilt free 4. I go to bed at 8.30 (sometimes 8pm) to start my wind down to fall asleep at 9.30pm device free and a light environment that helps, except when going out (which tbh is not often these days) 5. This is a BIG ONE - not afraid to admit that I really enjoy being an empty nester! The kid adults are happy & independent and so am I. 6. I am not afraid to say NO to certain foods and alcohol in social settings. Food came easier than alcohol. Once i changed my relationship with social drinking so much more fell into place 7. I overthink more than I should getting better but hey sometimes things are solved and sometimes yes, its a complete waste of my energy and time 8. I have let go of the people pleaser in me…this was a big one for me. I go for kindness over pleasing. 9. I walk most days even when I don’t feel like 10. No longer see food as entertainment or an emotional release, it has taken lots of practice and not always perfect but it’s rare. Hi, I’m Kathryn. One way to enhance the focus and pull back the jitters is to take it with L theanine. A Randomized Controlled Trial named: The combined effects of L-theanine and caffeine on cognitive performance and mood. Gail N Owen et al. Nutr Neurosci. 2008 Aug Found the following: The L-theanine and caffeine combination improved both speed and accuracy of performance of the attention-switching task at 60 min, and reduced susceptibility to distracting information in the memory task at both 60 min and 90 min. These results replicate previous evidence which suggests that L-theanine and caffeine in combination are beneficial for improving performance on cognitively demanding tasks. Might be good for those that need to focus without the dip. I take @live.momentous but there are lots of other out there, just look for the clean brands. Ps. I timed this at 9am. I never have coffee after 9.30 am.
