NEDandelion Micro-greens 🌱🌼
Micro-greens are a great way to grow a little of your own food at home even in the smallest of spaces, and one of my favourite things to grow as micro-greens are dandelions as their seed is free to collect and generally on every bank side at this time of the year! 😊👍🌼
I simply collect two or three seed heads, pull off the seeds and twist off the fluffy pappus that helps carry them on the wind. 🌱
Once you’ve collected 2 or 3 heads worth of seeds, you can sow them into something like this terracotta bowl that I’m using. I add a thin layer of compost, firm it down and simply sprinkle the seeds on top and water them well. 💦🌱
Within just a couple of days you should see the seeds sprouting, and they grow really quickly so between 7-10 days you should have lots of cute little dandelion micro green leaves that are packed with nutrients to add to your meals. 😋👍🌱🌼
