1️⃣ Wrong lighting (biggest deal-breaker)
Bad lighting distorts bone structure, skin tone, and symmetry.
Agencies won’t “imagine past” poor light.
Fix: Natural daylight only. Face a window. No harsh sun, no yellow bulbs.
2️⃣ Inaccurate proportions (camera angle)
Wrong camera height or tilt misrepresents height, frame, and balance.
Fix: Camera at chest level, straight-on. Full body visible head-to-toe.
3️⃣ Heavy grooming or makeup
Glam hides texture and structure. Agencies need to see the real face & hair.
Fix: Clean skin, minimal base if needed, natural brows, simple hair.
4️⃣ Incorrect outfit choice
Baggy clothes, dark layers, patterns, or accessories confuse proportions.
Fix: Fitted tee/tank (white or black) + clean jeans. Neutral colours. Bare feet or simple shoes.
5️⃣ Over-posing / forced expression
Trying to look cool or editorial makes polaroids feel inauthentic.
