One of Nietzsche’s most brutal takes. The weak invented evil to limit the strong. So now, instead of seeing reality for what it is, most people see it through moral lenses. The bird of prey is called evil. The lamb is called good. But the bird of prey is not factually evil. It is simply acting according to its nature. That is Nietzsche’s point. What we call evil is often just strength judged by weakness. Do you agree or not? #philosophy #nietzsche #strength #morality #evil

Richard Dawkins argues that morality does not belong to religion. People can be kind, honest and compassionate without believing in God. In fact, Dawkins says it would be disturbing if the only reason people behaved morally was because they feared hell or wanted a reward in heaven. That is not morality. That is obedience. Real morality comes from empathy, understanding suffering, and caring about other people — not from fear of punishment. The question is not whether atheists can be good. The question is: if you need God to be good, are you really being good at all? #richarddawkins #atheism #religion #god #morality #philosophy #ATHEIST #sciencevsbelief #criticalthinking #truth #debate

Christopher Hitchens (1949–2011) was a British-American writer, journalist, and outspoken critic of religion. Known for his sharp wit and fearless debates, Hitchens argued that religion often harms society by promoting dogma, suppressing reason, and enabling injustice. In his bestselling book God Is Not Great (2007), he claimed that “religion poisons everything” and examined the social, political, and moral consequences of faith. Hitchens was also a prolific essayist and public speaker, using evidence, historical analysis, and eloquent argumentation to challenge religious authority while advocating for secularism, free thought, and humanist values. #atheism #secularism #religion #criticalthinking #morality

You shouldn’t need fear of punishment, a rulebook, or the promise of a reward to treat people with dignity. Morality isn’t something you can simply outsource. Empathy isn’t supposed to be conditional. Being a good person, at its core, is simple: Don’t harm people. Don’t dehumanize people. Don’t excuse cruelty when it benefits you. If someone only acts decent because they’re being watched (by a community, a leader, or a higher power)… that’s not morality. Kindness that comes from understanding, from curiosity, from actually caring about the impact you have on other human beings… that’s the kind that lasts. And the world would be a lot less violent if more people learned empathy as a value instead of treating it like a rule they can break when it’s convenient. #morality #thinkforyourself #criticalthinking #empathyfirst

Deeper vid than usual, but just wanted to share some thoughts! I think what most people really mean when they say “don’t mock beliefs” is “don’t mock MY beliefs”. I get it. It’s uncomfortable to hear voices you disagree with. Nevertheless, it is essential. Not only because we live in a world with a spectrum of experiences, beliefs and opinions, but also because that’s how our own opinions and beliefs are shaped. Both strengthening what we currently believe, but also in helping us rethink our current positions with new ideas. If your beliefs have any basis in reality they should be able to stand up to mockery. #faith #philosophy #morality #comedy #christianity #islam #church #religion

Charlie Kirk: The Architect of a Generational Conservative Movement 🔥 Founding Turning Point USA permanently etched Kirk into the history of youth-driven right-wing activism. By scaling collegiate grassroots efforts into a formidable national organization, he consistently sparked widespread online debates with his divisive perspectives on cultural values and constitutional liberties. He leveraged the algorithmic dominance of platforms like Instagram and TikTok to deliver concise, hard-hitting messages to millions of viewers. By integrating pointed partisan critique with an assertive delivery, he successfully captured the focus of younger generations, actively shaping their ideological foundations. Regardless of individual political alignment, it remains undeniable that his approach—merging relentless advocacy with social media expertise—served as a highly effective blueprint for achieving monumental digital influence. 🎙️All Credits To: TPUSA & Charlie Kirk #usa #usapolitics #charliekirk #morality #god

A scene from Looking for Richard, Al Pacino’s documentary about Shakespeare. This man, homeless, a beggar, someone most people would walk past without a second glance, someone not thought to be worth a dime, speaks about Shakespeare with remarkable clarity and perspective. “If only Shakespeare were taught properly in high schools,” he says, “to kids in the projects, they would be less violent. Shakespeare teaches us to speak with feeling, to mean what we say, to be honest.” Whether that is true, I don’t know. I have never believed in the nineteenth-century idea that art makes us morally better people. If art truly made us better, then one of the most culturally sophisticated nations in the history of mankind would not have committed some of the greatest acts of slaughter and genocide ever witnessed: Germany. Rilke, Shakespeare, Rembrandt, these artists were asked to do something that was never their task: to morally educate humanity. That expectation asks something of art that it simply cannot give. Art, I believe, is about something else entirely. It is about grasping a moment that has already vanished before we can even fully see it. It is about movement brought briefly to a standstill, so that we can look again at the fleeting passage of time. Art is about beauty. It is about darkness. In art we may find comfort. We may encounter aesthetic pleasure. Sometimes we may even discover the darker parts of our own soul. And perhaps, sometimes, it may make us more empathetic. But I do not believe that this is something we are entitled to demand from art. If we do, it will always disappoint us. #lookingforrichard #hamnet #alpacino #arthousecinema #shakespeare #williamshakespeare #bildung #humboldt #paulmescal #hamlet #morality #filmkritiek
