The job of this machine is to meticulously place hundreds of feet of insulated copper wire (the bright red wires) into the narrow slots of the stator/rotor core:
The Core and Tooling (0:00 - 0:06): The steel stator core (the cylindrical part with many vertical slots) is precisely mounted on the machine’s base. The machine has a custom set of insertion teeth or needles aligned perfectly with the core slots.
The Coil Insertion (0:07 - 0:15): The pre-formed wire coils are automatically pushed down and into the slots by a mechanical ram (the silver cylindrical part). This requires immense force and perfect alignment to push the densely packed copper wires into the tight space without damaging their delicate enamel insulation.
The Perfect Fit: The machine ensures the windings are placed exactly as specified by the motor design. The density and precise pattern of the copper coils are critical for determining the motor's final voltage, torque, and efficiency. Automated winding guarantees that every single motor meets the same strict performance criteria, which is essential for mass production in the EV (Electric Vehicle) and appliance industries.
