Multiple sclerosis (MS) can cause a wide range of symptoms and there’s no exact list of early signs. A first symptom of MS for one person may never be experienced by someone else. That’s why it’s best to speak to your GP about any symptom that worries you. #fyp #earlysigns #multiplesclerosis #chronicillness #diagnosis

FIRST 'SUBTLE MS SYMPTOM' CHRISTINA APPLEGATE NOTICED AS SHE SHARES DEVASTATING HEALTH UPDATE The Emmy-winning Dead to Me star has opened up about the "invisible" warning signs she missed years before her life-changing Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. Christina Applegate, who has become a powerful voice for the MS community, revealed that the very first symptom was so subtle she simply brushed it off as "getting older" or "clumsiness." Speaking on her podcast, "MeSsy," which she co-hosts with fellow MS warrior Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Christina shared that she experienced persistent tingling and numbness in her toes as far back as 2017—four years before her official diagnosis. "I just thought I was tired or my shoes didn't fit," she admitted, urging fans not to ignore "weird" sensations in their limbs. In a devastating 2026 health update, the actress shared that the disease has progressed to a point where she now experiences "soul-crushing" pain and relies on a cane for mobility. Despite the physical toll, which includes a 40-pound weight gain from medication and the inability to walk long distances, Applegate has vowed to keep "showing up." Her appearance at recent award shows, where she received standing ovations, has sparked a global conversation about the reality of living with a chronic, "unseen" disability. "I'm never going to be 'okay' with this," she told listeners, "but I'm learning how to live in the mess."

5 years ago, my body started whispering… and then it started screaming. Shortly after graduating college, I came home from a trip feeling off. Lightheaded. Dizzy. I told myself it was nothing. But it didn’t go away. Within a few weeks, new symptoms kept piling on— • Numbness spreading across the left side of my face and scalp • Numbness in my right foot • Subtle balance issues • A level of fatigue I couldn’t explain Something was wrong—and I could feel it. I had never even heard of Multiple Sclerosis when I finally got the diagnosis. What I learned quickly is this: MS doesn’t look one way. It depends on where damage shows up in the brain or spinal cord—so symptoms can be wildly different from person to person. After countless appointments, bloodwork, MRIs, and even a second opinion, it was confirmed: This was my reality. But this wasn’t the end of my story—it was the beginning of a much deeper one. I share my journey because I know how confusing, isolating, and scary this phase can feel. If you’re navigating chronic illness, healing, or learning how to trust your body again—you’re not alone. Follow along as I share what I’ve learned about strength, resilience, and building a life that feels good in your body @meg.winje ā¤ļø #wellnessjourney #holistichealth #healingjourney #chronicillness #healthjourney #mswarrior #healthtips #realfood #mystory

Lesion In My Brain Naturally Repairing Thanks To These Protocols Comment MS to learn more. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis about four years ago now. It was really hard even getting a diagnosis. I had to fight and see so many different doctors. From 2016 to 2020, I just had increasing symptoms — chronic pain, fatigue, digestive issues, inflammation. I was very sensitive to a lot of medications. Nothing was really helping me. In early January of 2022, I woke up one day with double vision. That really led to finally getting a diagnosis of M.S., after truly years and years of seeing different doctors. Because M.S. can often be an invisible disease, people look at you like you’re almost crazy. I literally got out of the hospital and thought, I have nothing else to try. So I started implementing Medical Medium protocols. I started with celery juice. I removed troublemaker foods. I started adding more and more protocols slowly. After three weeks, that pain in my nose and sinuses just completely lifted and went away. After six months, I really noticed improvement — less pain, less inflammation, better range of motion. I went in for my brain scan. My doctor said she was having a hard time finding the lesion. The lesion remyelinated so well she had a hard time even finding it. She attributed the progress in my MRI to my healthy lifestyle changes. The lesion remyelinated even more. I’m always happy to share my experience. I think our bodies are always fighting for us. šŸ’› Comment MS to learn more.

UPDATE *YES she knows I’m her daughter. She just doesn’t understand my new profession… acting. In her mind, I’m still a choreographer. She once asked me if I was headed to dance practice. Hehe* _____ People always ask me if my mom knows what I do. For a long time I’d say, ā€œI don’t really think so.ā€ But over these last few months, as both her Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer’s have progressed, I’ve realized… now I know for a fact she really doesn’t. It was sad for a minute, and sometimes it still is. But I’ve learned to lean into the joy, the laughter, and the moments we still get to share. Just reminding her, loving on her, and being present every chance I get. Caregiving looks different every day… And tonight I’m smiling at the thought that my Momma said, ā€œan actress rather.ā€ That alone reminded me her brain is still working and she’s still present with me in her own way. She doesn’t have to know I’m an actor, I just love hearing her use her words. #MultipleSclerosis #Alzheimers #Caregiving #Caregiver

Dedicating this year’s @tatamummarathon to the @mssocietyindia. . As someone living with Multiple Sclerosis for over 8 years now, this year’s run is to honour the efforts and contributions of the MSSI for MS warriors across the country, in providing care, raising awareness and a platform for people who are dealing with this chronic disease. . For people with MS, they can be leading completely regular lives while dealing with loads of physical and emotional changes that might not be visible to a lot of you. While we only wish and pray, that in our case, the good days outnumber the not so good ones. . I’m incredibly grateful to my neurologists, medical science and The Almighty for managing my condition and helping me lead a regular life. . I love you so much, Mama. You deserved a life that unfolded gently a life that held you the way you held us. Multiple sclerosis didn’t creep in. It didn’t whisper. It didn’t knock politely at the door. It stormed in like a thief in the night, like a wrecking ball through stained glass, like something that mistook your light for a target. It power-slammed us. It stole pieces of you. It stole pieces of us. It tried to steal you from yourself. And still you are here. Still your love reaches across the wreckage. Still I get to hold your hand in this lifetime. I feel so lucky I still have you. And my heart breaks in the same breath. I grieve the life you should have had. The strength that should have been celebrated. The voice that should have been louder. The years that should have been easier. I love you in this body. I love you in this fight. I love you in the quiet spaces between what was and what could have been. And if there is another lifetime if souls find each other again I hope we meet in a version where your body is kind to you, where your laughter is unburdened, where you get to shine without pain trying to dim you. I hope I get to watch you walk freely toward the light. I love you, Mama. In this life. In the next. In every one after that.
