AS🌌 What If a Black Hole Swallowed Earth?
If a stellar black hole suddenly came close to Earth, our planet wouldn’t disappear instantly. Instead, an extreme cosmic process would begin.
(1) First, the black hole’s powerful gravity would start pulling on Earth unevenly. The side closer to the black hole would feel a much stronger pull than the far side. This difference in gravity is called tidal force.
👉Within minutes, Earth’s atmosphere and oceans would begin to strip away, forming a blazing ring of superheated matter called an accretion disk around the black hole.
As Earth moves closer, the tidal forces would stretch and tear the planet apart — a process scientists call “spaghettification.” Mountains, oceans, and the crust would break into glowing debris.
Finally, the fragments would spiral inward and cross the event horizon, the point of no return. Beyond this boundary, nothing — not even light — can escape.
⏱️ Estimated timeline: minutes to a few hours.
In the end, Earth would be transformed into energy and matter inside one of the most mysterious objects in the universe.
