“Joy to the World” was written by Hoyt Axton and made famous by the rock band Three Dog Night. The song is also popularly known by its opening lyric, ‘Jeremiah was a bullfrog’ which was never meant to be a lyric. Hoyt wrote it as a placeholder for a cartoon that never aired. He scribbled ‘Jeremiah was a bullfrog’ as a joke, planning to fix it later, but Three Dog Night recorded it before he could. The band didn’t even like the song until Chuck Negron pushed for it. Then a Seattle DJ accidentally spun it on air and suddenly it became the no. 1 song of 1971. #threedognight #HoytAxton #classicrock #70smusic #behindthesong

The song captures the contrast between the beauty of summer and the sadness of fleeting moments. Through nostalgic lyrics about love and memories, Lana reflects on the bittersweet realization that even the happiest times eventually fade. Her signature cinematic style and emotional vocals create a dreamy, almost nostalgic atmosphere, making the track one of the most recognizable songs of her career. 🌅 The combination of romantic imagery, haunting melodies, and emotional storytelling helped Summertime Sadness become a defining song of Lana Del Rey’s early era. 🎶 Song: Summertime Sadness 🎤 Artist: Lana Del Rey #SummertimeSadness #LanaDelRey #BornToDie #SongSection #MusicReels ExplorePage

No glitter. No leather pants. Just a drum fill that changed music forever. At the height of the 80s and early 90s, Phil Collins walked on stage dressed like your math teacher and still sold out stadiums worldwide. “In the Air Tonight” proved you don’t need theatrics when the tension in your voice can shake an arena. “In the Air Tonight” was released in 1981 as the debut solo single from Phil Collins’ album Face Value. Written and produced by Collins, the song became one of the most iconic tracks of the decade, known for its atmospheric build and the legendary gated reverb drum break that redefined 80s production. During the 1980s and early 1990s, Collins was one of the world’s best-selling artists, selling out stadiums globally while maintaining a modest, almost understated stage presence. Unlike many arena rock stars of the era, he often performed in simple shirts and slacks, letting songwriting and emotional delivery carry the spectacle. The song is built on tension. The opening lines feel restrained, almost whispered, as if something unspoken is hanging in the air. Lyrically, it captures anger, betrayal, and unresolved emotion. Collins has explained that the words were largely improvised and reflect the emotional fallout of personal turmoil rather than a literal story. That ambiguity is part of its power. Listeners project their own memories into it. The slow, patient buildup mirrors the feeling of holding something in until it can no longer be contained. Then the drum fill hits. It is not just percussion. It is release. That moment became one of the most recognized musical drops in modern music history. #InTheAirTonight #PhilCollins #FaceValueAlbum #80sMusic #80sClassics

Day 56/60 The video features a young woman performing the iconic "Childhood Memories" song from the Doraemon anime, a beloved theme that evokes nostalgic emotions tied to childhood. She sings with heartfelt expression, wearing a white sweater with navy blue stripes, against a backdrop of a cityscape. Her gestures and facial expressions convey deep sentiment, enhancing the emotional resonance of the song. The lyrics are displayed on screen in both Korean and English, allowing viewers to follow along. The performance, spanning from 00:00 to 00:43, captures the whimsical and sentimental essence of Doraemon’s world, particularly highlighting the dreamlike longing expressed in lines like “I wish I could fly freely, yes, I love the Taketombo drone so much.” The integration of visual storytelling, lyrical content, and emotional delivery creates a cohesive tribute to the cherished memories associated with the Doraemon series. #doremoon #doremoonsong #song #musicreels

“The Fate of Ophelia” is a 2025 release by Taylor Swift, inspired by the character Ophelia from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The song reflects themes of emotional vulnerability, heartbreak, and identity, drawing parallels between classic literature and modern relationships. Blending soft, atmospheric production with introspective lyrics, the track stands out for its cinematic storytelling and layered symbolism. Instead of strictly following the original tragic narrative, the song presents a more reflective perspective on Ophelia’s state of mind, focusing on inner conflict rather than just external events. With its melancholic tone and poetic structure, “The Fate of Ophelia” continues Taylor Swift’s signature approach of combining storytelling with emotional depth, making it resonate with listeners who connect with themes of love, loss, and self-awareness. #taylorswift #thefateofophelia #musicreels #liveshow #swiftie

His expressions and eyes said a lot more than the actual words Two voices. One question. If the world was ending would you still come over? Sometimes love only becomes honest when time runs out. “If the World Was Ending” by JP Saxe featuring Julia Michaels was released in 2019 as a minimalist pop ballad that quietly became one of the most emotionally resonant songs of its time. Produced and written by FINNEAS, the track was later Grammy-nominated for its stripped-down arrangement and devastatingly simple emotional premise. Built around piano, space, and silence rather than heavy production, the song explores the psychology of unfinished love. Inspired by real-world crisis anxiety following earthquakes in Los Angeles, it reflects how catastrophic moments force emotional clarity. When everything else falls away, ego disappears and only connection remains. This made it one of the most covered modern love songs across acoustic and intimate duet performances. At its core, the song isn’t about the end of the world. It’s about emotional denial during the ordinary world. The lyrics imagine a final scenario where pride, resentment, and emotional distance no longer matter. The central thought experiment is brutal in its simplicity: if time was running out, who would you reach for? That makes intimate covers especially powerful because the performance becomes less theatrical and more confessional. Two people singing directly to each other reframes the song from hypothetical apocalypse into real emotional vulnerability. The question shifts from fantasy to something quietly terrifying: if nothing else mattered, would we choose each other? #IfTheWorldWasEnding #FINNEAS #JuliaMichaels #AcousticCover #duetcover

Fleetwood Mac Founder Quits: On this date (April 11) 56 years ago, Fleetwood Mac founder and blues-rock guitar virtuoso Peter Green (pictured here) quits the band. Green gave his walking papers while on tour with the band in Europe. Sources close to the band said Green’s departure was linked to his mental decline. The band’s manager said at that time that Green’s troubled mental state was probably related to taking LSD at a party at a commune in Munich, Germany that year. However, other reports said that Green and other band members dropped acid together when they arrived in New York in 1968, the start of its U.S. tour. After opening for the Grateful Dead at the Fillmore East, the band was offered “the best, most pure LSD available,” which the band consumed in its hotel room. Green, who was eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia, spent most of the ‘70s in and out of psychiatric hospitals. He later re-emerged professionally to record solo albums and joined sessions with various artists including a song on Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk” album. Green died in his sleep at the age of 73 in 2020. #rock #blues #classicrock #rocknroll #guitar
