SHI had to learn how to praise Him in the hallway!!! SO BOOM!
Graduated in May. State boards time. Need a 450 to pass. 1st attempt – 426🥴 I laughed it off bc I knew I was going to fail it. 2nd attempt – 447.!! THREE. POINTS. Three funky lil points. I was SICK!! Then life started life-ing. Depression said “hey girl heyyy”… Took it again. 3rd attempt – 438😒. I don’t even remember sitting for that test fr. That’s how checked out I was.
At that point I said forget it. Went back to doing hair. Got my shop. Did what I know. Stayed comfortable. Whole time God like… yeah, no.🥴🤣 getting back in the groove was pure chaos bc it wasn’t his plan!! One night my mother-in-law was like, Oh nah. You not quitting. Run it back. Try again. Had me crying bad 😭
So I studied again. And when I tell y’all LIFE WAS BEATING ME UP!!! Like drowning. Mentally. Emotionally. Spiritually. When I said 2025 broke me down, I wasn’t joking. God stripped me. Removed people. Took distractions. Made me look at Him and ONLY Him. Bc the version of me I was? She couldn’t carry what He had for me.

12This journey did not happen the way I expected. Not passing the first time was one of the hardest moments I have faced, but it strengthened my faith, my discipline, and my purpose.
Through every setback, God was working. The long nights, the doubt, and the perseverance were not in vain.

DAFUNctional Fall Prevention SLC Event: DIY Grippy Socks 🧦✨ @foxrehab 🦊
🎨 All you need is puffy fabric paint and/or sock stop fluid! I used both for the purpose of educating the available resources to adapt/modify socks.
🧦🧡 It’s especially important for older adults to wear grip socks because they can significantly reduce the risk of falls, which are a major concern for seniors. As people age, their balance, coordination, and muscle strength may decline, making them more vulnerable to slipping and tripping. Grip socks provide extra traction, especially on smooth or slippery surfaces like tile, hardwood floors, or even carpets.
🧦🧡 This added stability helps prevent falls, which can lead to serious injuries such as fractures or head trauma.
🧦🧡 In addition, older adults may also experience issues with circulation, which can make their feet more susceptible to coldness or discomfort. Grip socks provide warmth and comfort, along with the safety benefits of better footing.
🧦🧡 The residents within the ILF told me about how they have had more falls recently in the middle of the night even if they used their AD. I provided education regarding the importance of having something on your feet when using the bathroom in the middle of the night.
🧦🧡 When we use the bathroom in the middle of the night, we may be drowsy and unstable leading to an increased fall risk - that’s why we need to have traction on our feet, so if they don’t have slippers or do not want to put shoes on, the grippy socks aid in safety. 🌛
