There is so much urban wildlife that is slept on! Did you know that Los Angeles or Tovaangar (one of the Indigenous names for LA) is situated in the California Floristic Province making it a biodiversity hotspot? There is so much to talk about, like the Palos Verdes Blue which only lives in Los Angeles! Probably some videos will be of other places outside of LA! Make sure to download iNaturalist to document all the incredible wildlife you see too! On the set of this music video, mgk and his daughter Casie were being a comedy duo. mgk and Casie started talking in a British accent. "Alright, here we have the Caribou," mgk said. "Never seen these where we're from." Casie said, "If you look a little bit closer here, you see the antlers," and then mgk added, "This guy's about an 18 pointer. Now I'm from Australia. We don't have many of these out where we're from. Back there's the neglected one. He's not as h- as his brothers and sisters." After this joke, mgk told Casie, "Close your ears, I love you. Adult joke." mgk saw the coyotes and said, "That's the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life." mgk continued, "So dark. It was so cute, and then I looked up, it's so dark. This truly has changed my opinion of coyotes." And then mgk saw a goat and told Casie, "It's your father." mgk added, "I'm just kidding." mgk and his daughter Casie are very funny and hilarious. they are the funniest & cutest father daughter duo. this is the kind of docent i want at every museum. btw that's the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. @nhmlac 📝: mgk posted a new video called "mgk - vampire diaries (Behind The Scenes)." In this behind-the-scenes-video, mgk was being an unserious docent at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, introducing animals like a professisonal docent. mgk also said his favorite Seal song is "Fly Like an Eagle." "The sea lions over here," mgk said. "The big one's name is Erp. We still have yet to wonder why Seal called himself Seal, but he made a goddamn great song. *mgk starts singing Kiss from a Rose by Seal* Kiss from a rose. My favorite is track 1 on the Space Jam soundtrack. It's called Fly Like an Eagle." mgk saw the porcupine and said, "The koala bear." mgk contined, "That's not a koala bear, is it? That's the porcupine best known for inspiring the punk rock scene. It was the first person to have spikes on its suit. Super cool, porcupine. Thank you for all the inspo." FYI: mgk wore a purple Dolce & Gabbana suit covered in spikes at the American Music Awards (AMAs) in 2022, which became one of the most iconic outfits in pop culture history. mgk saw the winter buffalo and said, "These are the winter buffalo. They are in the Arctic Circle." "They are chilling," mgk joked. "In the exhibit next, you can't see, but this is what inspired the Klondike bar." mgk also said, "Rekab Nosloc. Why am I talking in this deep voice like a vampire?" mgk is so effortlessly funny and hilarious. A brand-new species of ancient lizard discovered in the Utah desert is monstrous enough to be named after a goblin prince from Lord of the Rings. 🦎 🦖 Bolg amondol was a giant #lizard related to modern-day Gila monsters that may have specialized in raiding dinosaur nests and stealing their eggs. The fossilized bones were uncovered by Joe Sertich, Paleontologist at #STRI and Geoscientist at @coloradostateuniversity, and were stored in the @nhmu's collection for 20 years until Hank Woolley from the @NHMLAC Dinosaur Institute discovered they were actually from a new species. What a find!
