We’re so happy to welcome our newest student, Antonio, only 4 years old, to the DTA of NY family 🎾👏 Today was his very first class, and he was already following warm-up instructions like a pro! His grandmother, Maribel, loves tennis—and now he’s continuing that passion. What a beautiful moment for our community. We’re excited to watch his development grow. All of our children are working together, supporting one another, and building confidence on and off the court. A heartfelt thank you to our parents—Anastasia, Katherine—for your continued support and consistency in bringing Rozabella, Entoni, Madeline and the rest of the parents. Your commitment truly makes a difference. Our teenagers continue improving every day, showing teamwork and leadership—Hayden, Sol, Ana, Ella, and Rozabella, keep it up! We had the opportunity to work directly with PE teachers, helping them integrate tennis into their physical education curriculum and enrichment programs. A big thank you to the USTA School Youth Tennis Initiative Grant for equipping the district with the resources and providing a hands-on training session during their professional development day. Rockland Community Tennis joined USTA Eastern in Poughkeepsie to help PE teachers integrate tennis into their physical education programs. 🎾 Through a hands-on clinic, educators learned simple drills, games, and ways to bring tennis into gyms, blacktops, and schoolyards using modified equipment. Thanks to United States Tennis Association, participating schools also received donated tennis equipment to help make it easier to introduce and sustain tennis in their PE classes.
