BLNegus (ንጉሥ) means king or ruler—a title rooted in Ethiopia, a name once used to describe vast regions of ancient Africa.
Historically, it was once a title of honor, used for royalty— Regional Kings & Nobles - but over time, it was twisted and weaponized. Though spelled differently, the word we use today carries that same power. They’ll claim the two aren’t connected, but that’s deception meant to erase true history.
This is why the word never left our vocabulary—deep down, we always knew it belonged to us. It carried power, aligned with our spirit, and echoed something ancient. But over time, it was used to provoke shame instead of pride, to disconnect us from our roots of Royalty.
