We obsess over the tools. We obsess over the supplements. We obsess over the tangibles. But if you’re living out of alignment with who you came here to be... If you’re staying in relationships that drain you to keep the peace... If you’re allowing fear to prevent you from creating the life you want... Your efforts will feel like pushing a boulder uphill. The most powerful form of healing is when you create the necessary changes in your life to experience greater harmony in the system. Nervous system health goes well beyond breathwork and meditation. It goes well beyond surface-level tools. True nervous system health comes when you prioritize safety, alignment, peace, joy, and forgiveness as your baseline operating signals. Head to this week’s episode “The Frequency of Alignment: How to Design Rituals That Keep You in Your Power” to learn how you can begin tracking where you are in your path to alignment and how you can come back home. Available on YouTube, Spotify, or any of the podcast apps.

VARIABILITY One of the things I’ve been thinking about a lot over the last few years is how ideas from elite sport apply to everyone else. A few things pushed this forward for me. I’m getting older. I have to think about the kind of work I need, and what the people around me need as they age. That work does not look like training for an elite sprinter. Through the work I’ve done with my great friends at @palmheightsathletics, I’ve also spent more time with active, healthy people who are not elite athletes. That changed how I think about training for most people. And in 2025, on the Huberman Lab and Rich Roll podcasts, most of what we talked about was how lessons from sport apply to everyday life. All of that keeps bringing me back to one idea. Variability. As we age, one of the most important things we can protect is variability in our systems. Most people drift into a narrow lane. They become a weights person. Or a Pilates person. Or a yoga person. And that’s ok. But when we look back at when we felt our best, we were usually doing many different things and moving in many different ways. That range is a clear sign of a healthy system. We see it in heart rate variability. In nervous system health. In ecosystems. Stable systems have options. They can adapt. So the message is simple. Add variety back in. Eat different foods. Walk, jog, sprint, and play. Move outside. Read a lot of different things. Learn new skills. As my friend @davidepstein wrote in Range, people who stay capable over long time frames avoid getting stuck in narrow lanes. That may be one of the simplest health strategies we have.

I test this with almost every client I work with. 🦩 The Flamingo Test is one of the simplest ways to check in with your biological age, no lab, no expensive testing, just you and one leg. Balance isn’t just about coordination. It’s a window into your nervous system health, your brain function, your fall risk, and how well your body is actually aging. And the science is pretty eye opening. A study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine followed 1,702 adults aged 51-75 and found that those who couldn’t hold a single leg stance had more than double the mortality risk over a 7 year period. Just under 5% of those who passed died during follow up, compared to over 17% of those who failed. 👀 Here’s what your results mean: 60 sec both sides 🟢 — your biological age is thriving 30-59 sec 🟡 — you’re doing well but there’s room to grow Under 30 sec 🔴 — your body is asking for some love The good news? Balance is trainable at any age. Practicing this daily for just a few weeks can make a significant difference. Drop your results below 👇 and tell me, did one side feel weaker than the other? That’s more common than you think. 🦩

Fatigue, mood swings, low energy...sometimes it’s not just “life” it could be your hormones. In your 30s and 40s, stress, poor sleep and under-eating can all impact energy levels and throw your cycle off balance. That’s where B vitamins come in, supporting energy metabolism, nervous system health and even your skin and hair. I’ve been using @altrient_official for some weeks and honestly, I’ve felt the difference. What makes it special is the liposomal delivery, which protects the nutrients and helps your body absorb them more effectively. No fillers, no sweeteners – just pure ingredients that actually work. Throwback Thursday to an episode that’s more relevant than ever. We’re taking it back to one of the most important episodes we’ve ever done on Heart Rate Variability (HRV)... a metric that tells you more about stress, recovery, and nervous system health than most labs. If you’re serious about your health, don’t skip this one. When you improve your HRV, you improve how your body handles stress, recovers from training, and performs day to day. This is one of the most crucial metrics most people have never been taught to watch. 👇🏻 Comment “HRV” for the link to learn more.

Yes, women *need* personalized workout programs—because the same workout strategies that work for men won’t always work for a woman’s body. “The amount of sets vs. reps vs. rest time should be individual because our bodies work differently and respond differently to stimulus,” explains @melodynyc. Women have more endurance (thanks to having more slow-twitch muscle fibers), but it may be harder for them to reach the same power output as a male athlete. Luckily, that’s something we can train and work on!  At obé, all of our training programs are designed specifically with women in mind (not to say a guy couldn’t come in and do them, but they’re not the priority). “We keep our rep scheme low and aim to increase intensity and volume over time,” explains Melody. “We’re working to improve areas where women may not initially have the strength advantage—so it’s a tailored approach based on volume and workload.”  Curious about more specifics? Here are some of the variables we incorporate into our program planning: ⚡️ Using a holistic approach to support all areas of wellness—resistance training, cardio, movement quality, and nervous system management ⚡ Adjusting sets / reps / recovery schemes based on muscle makeup (women can handle shorter recovery periods!) ⚡ Training with a woman’s unique physiology—leaning into our endurance with aerobic cardio, building up fast-twitch fibers with anaerobic burst training ⚡ Including options to work with hormonal shifts and cycles on the short term (cycle syncing, pre/postnatal) and long-term (perimenopause and beyond) ⚡ Supporting adrenal + nervous system health by teaching women how to shift between parasympathetic (fight or flight) and sympathetic (rest + digest) states

Why I choose B12 with methylcobalamin ✨ Methylcobalamin is the active form of vitamin B12, meaning it’s a form the body can recognize and use more easily. B12 plays an important role in supporting energy production, brain function, nervous system health, and overall wellness. I love supporting my body with nutrients it already understands and uses naturally. For me, focusing on proper nourishment, hydration, movement, and key nutrients like B12 is part of supporting my wellness journey from the inside out. 💛 This is not medical advice — just sharing what works for me and my personal wellness routine. ✨Follow for more wellness and holistic lifestyle content! #WellnessFromHome #b12 #B12Boost #NaturalAntiAgingSolutions #longevitylifestyle #naturalremedies #naturalsolutions #antiagingtips #EnergyBoost

When you have a nervous system that is rooted in unsafety, it’s like carrying thousands of pounds of weight to your backpack while you’re going uphill. You don’t need to make this so hard on yourself. Prioritize nervous system health first. Prioritize deep emotional regulation first. Prioritize creating deep unwavering internal safety first. Imagine being able to move through a healing journey without all of the unconscious baggage slowing you down, without all of the fears and insecurities and worries keeping you trapped in pain. What if you could truly breathe and exhale and feel safe while you’re healing? How much more enjoyable would your journey be? How many more miracles could you unlock for yourself? Next week, my dear friend Nasha and I are doing a masterclass on how to create deep, unwavering internal safety. The type of safety that heals the most stubborn chronic symptoms that are hard to resolve with conventional approaches. Comment MASTERCLASS for more information.

Our Treatment Model Is Failing! We talk so much about rising anxiety and depression that we miss the real issue, our treatment model is not keeping up with what people actually need. Dr. James Greenblatt explains that millions are still struggling, not because they are broken, but because the system relies only on therapy and medication, even when they do not work for everyone. So many patients never get better because the deeper causes, physiology, inflammation, nutrient status, trauma patterns, and nervous system health are not part of the plan. This isn’t just about counseling, it’s about the whole body. Healing begins when we stop using band-aids and start looking at root causes. Real recovery happens when we treat the person, not just the symptom. 🎙️ Clip from hol+ by Dr. Taz MD 📺 Watch the full episode on YouTube 💬 Comment “PODCAST” and we’ll DM you the link #MentalHealth #Depression #Anxiety #FunctionalMedicine #TraumaHealing #RootCauseMedicine #NervousSystem #HolisticHealth #HolPodcast
