On November 20th, I flew with @aerlingus , and upon landing, I was given back my broken and mangled wheelchair. The airline provided me with no assistance and left me to fend for myself like a bug on the ground.
I spent months calling, emailing, and begging for them to do what was right to no avail.
In January, along with some assistance, privately purchased a replacement from @notawheelchair. I had to spend my own money because the airline seemed to have no interest in actually righting their wrongs. Custom chairs take time to make, though, as they're very personal to the user and are made from scratch for each person and their needs.
For nearly 5 months, @aerlingus left me to drag myself along like garbage, no offer to cover a rental wheelchair, no help whatsoever. I would schedule appointments to speak with supervisors there, and they would then ghost me. Only after months and months did they even agree to cover the partial costs of what they had cost me, only to dodge me again and again.
I missed birthdays, holidays, important events, work, and so much more because of @aerlingus and the gross negligence they enacted.
