This is not a fringe issue. And it is not hidden on the dark web.
These crimes are happening on mainstream platforms — on social media, messaging apps, and popular games like Facebook, Instagram, and Roblox — inside ordinary homes, often without full awareness of the risks or how exploitation unfolds.
Evidence shows that exploitation is frequently complex and hidden, involving trust, coercion, and situations where families themselves are under pressure.
Estimates point to millions of Filipino children affected every year. Unofficially, the real number is likely even higher.
Protect PH is a national awareness and prevention initiative under ParallaxNet Philippines, grounded in one core belief - prevention starts with awareness, trust, and early conversation.
