After 15+ years in sales, I have learned this ⤵️ 👉🏻 but first, comment “OBJECTIONS” to get my free objection handling guide. “I can’t afford this” or “it’s out of my budget” is usually not a no. When someone says it is out of their budget, most people panic and immediately • drop the price • offer random payment plans • or let them walk away to “think about it” And that is how deals die. Here is what actually works 👇 1️⃣ acknowledge it Do not get defensive. Say: “I understand this feels outside your budget, and it is important you feel good about the decision.” This builds trust and keeps you in control. 2️⃣ isolate the objection Ask: “Money aside, do you believe this would help you solve the problem?” If they say no, your value is unclear. If they say yes, keep going. 3️⃣ find out what is really behind it Ask: “Is this more about not seeing the value, or is it about cash flow right now?” Now you know how to respond without pressure. 4️⃣ if it is about value Bring them back to the result they want and how your offer gets them there ✨ People pay for clarity, not features. 5️⃣ if it is about cash Say: “I would hate for money to be the only thing stopping you from getting support. Is there an amount you could put in now so we can get started?” Most people will suggest a solution themselves. Opens the door for them to share the real objection - the one you can actually solve. ㅤ 2. "If we could solve [that specific concern], would you be ready to move forward?" You're isolating the issue and testing commitment. This separates real objections from excuses. ㅤ 3. "Is it the price, the timing, or something else?" Gives them permission to be honest without feeling pressured. Most people just need an easy way to tell you what's actually in the way. ㅤ 4. "Do you feel like this could get you where you want to go or is there something I'm missing?" Keeps it collaborative. Invites hidden concerns to surface before they kill the deal later. ㅤ 5. "If nothing changes in the next 6 months, how will that impact you?" This isn't manipulation. It's clarity. Help them feel the cost of inaction. ㅤ 6. "What needs to happen today for you to feel confident moving forward?" Puts them in the driver's seat. People commit harder to solutions they create themselves. ㅤ 7.
