His career is on a rapid decline, and his manager/best friend, Vivek, struggles to manage his erratic behavior. One night, after a concert in Goa, a drunken, frustrated Rahul leaves his car on the side of the road and wanders into a small local bar. Inside the bar, Rahul hears Aarohi Shirke singing his own song. He is instantly captivated by her raw talent and sincere passion for music. He notices her struggling to make ends meet, singing in small, shady places while harboring dreams of becoming a mainstream playback singer. In a drunken haze, he promises her that he will make her a superstar. Following this, he forgets the meeting due to his intoxicated state, but when he realizes the gravity of his promise, he hunts her down and encourages her to move to Mumbai with her family. In Mumbai, Rahul takes Aarohi under his wing, mentoring her and using his industry connections to get her noticed. As Aarohi begins her journey to success, she and Rahul fall deeply in love. However, the power dynamic shifts. As Aarohi's singing career takes off and she gains popularity, Rahul's career completely disintegrates. He cannot handle the fall from grace and the public scrutiny, leading to increased alcohol consumption and violent outbursts. The turning point occurs when Rahul hits rock bottom, losing his reputation and being replaced by younger talent. He becomes insecure and jealous of Aarohi's success, even though he genuinely loves her and wants her to succeed. The situation reaches a breaking point when a journalist taunts Rahul, suggesting he is living off Aarohi's money and that she is using him for fame. Furious, Rahul beats up the journalist and is arrested. Aarohi bails him out, but the incident deeply scares them.
