The reason why it happens has to do with how your hormones change from the first half of your cycle (follicular) to the second half (luteal) 🤓 The 1-2 weeks before your period (luteal phase) you’re anxious, moody, irritable, you cry for no reason, hate everyone and feel like the ugliest person alive because your body is wired to be more critical in this phase. When hormones are balanced, these symptoms only come for a couple days and they’re not that bad (think a 1-3 on a scale of 1-10). BUT, when your hormones are out of balance, your symptoms are GNARLY. You literally see and feel yourself being crazy, but you can’t stop it 👹 The thing is, hormones are never imbalanced for no reason. There’s always root causes driving these symptoms and that’s why you can fix them!! The driving factors are usually things like gut health & digestion problems, nutrient deficiencies, constipation, stress and not enough quality sleep. It’s all about getting your lifestyle and day to day habits right to bring things back into balance.
