1DUtopian Architects You Must Know.
Sir Peter Cook embodies an architectural thinking in which utopia becomes a critical method. Emerging from the Archigram movement, he defended the idea that the city is not a fixed object but a living organism, able to transform, to absorb mobility and social life. His drawings, collages, and narratives overturned modernism by proposing an architecture that is narrative, ironic, and playful. The Walking City remains the icon of this vision: a mutant, autonomous city, never built but of inexhaustible speculative power. Later, with the Kunsthaus in Graz, Cook proved that his visions could materialize, that fiction could become substance and lived space. His work reaffirms that building is, above all, the act of imagining possible worlds. 🌆✨
