Itโ€™s not magic, itโ€™s center of mass!โš–๏ธ And a cool little trick to impress your kids.๐Ÿ˜‰ Trying to balance an empty can on its rim is nearly impossible because its center of gravity is high and unstable. When we add a little water though, the weight settles at the lowest point of the angled can. This lowers the center of gravity and shifts it directly over the pivot point (the rim), creating a stable equilibrium! Physics: 1, Gravity: 0! This video is a brilliant demonstration of static electricity in action through the triboelectric effect. As the teachers rapidly move the large banner over the children, friction causes a massive transfer of electrons, creating a powerful electric charge on the surface of the material. When this charged sheet is held near the students, an electric field is created that transfers a similar charge to their hair. Because each individual strand of hair becomes loaded with the same type of charge (either all positive or all negative), the strands naturally repel one another to get as far apart as possible. This force of repulsion is stronger than gravity for the lightweight hair, causing it to defy physics and stand straight up in every direction, creating that iconic "halo" effect. ๐Ÿ”ฌ The Physics of "Non-Contact" At the atomic level, every atom is surrounded by a cloud of electrons. Since like charges repel each other, the electrons in your hand and the electrons in the object you're holding push away from each other with incredible force. โ€ข The Illusion of Touch: What we perceive as "touch" is actually our nerve fibers reacting to the electromagnetic repulsion between atoms. โ€ข Pauli Exclusion Principle: This fundamental law of quantum mechanics prevents fermions (like electrons) from occupying the same state, effectively creating a "solid" barrier that keeps things apart. โ€ข The "Invisible Shield": In this video, you can see the skin deforming under pressure without the needle ever truly merging with the atoms of the hand. Itโ€™s an invisible force field protecting you every second!. #quantumphysics #sciencefacts #atoms #natureofreality #physicsisfun

Simple Harmonic motion or Circular motion? Simple harmonic motion is a special type of periodic motion in which an object moves back and forth about a fixed mean or equilibrium position, and the force acting on it always tries to pull it back toward that position. This motion repeats at equal time intervals and is seen in examples like a mass attached to a spring or a simple pendulum moving at small angles. The key idea is that the farther the object moves away from the center, the stronger the restoring effect that brings it back. Circular motion, on the other hand, is the motion of an object along a circular path. In uniform circular motion, the object moves with constant speed, but its direction keeps changing, so there is always an inward acceleration toward the center of the circle. An important connection between these two motions is that simple harmonic motion can be understood as the shadow or projection of uniform circular motion on a straight line. This means if a particle moves in a circle with constant speed, its projection on the diameter behaves exactly like simple harmonic motion, showing that both motions are closely related in physics. #PhysicsReels #PhysicsLovers #SimpleHarmonicMotion #CircularMotion #ScienceMadeEasy #PhysicsIsFun #STEMContent #ScienceExplained #LearnPhysics #StudyReels

This video captures a fascinating intersection of physics and geometry. When a cubic frame is dipped into a soap solution, the resulting film doesn't cling to the outer faces to form a solid cube. Instead, it pulls inward toward the center, creating a complex, beautiful structure of intersecting planes. This happens because of surface tension. Soap films are constantly trying to minimize their surface area to reach the lowest energy state possible. In physics, this is known as a minimal surface. Within a frame, the film will always stretch into the most mathematically efficient shape that connects all the edges. Itโ€™s a perfect visual demonstration of how nature naturally optimizes for efficiency! #physicsisfun #scienceexperiment #surfacetension #geometry #satisfyingscience

Credits to @wealth, The Power of Focused Photons The video showcases the incredible power of a Fresnel lens, which acts like a giant magnifying glass to concentrate sunlight into a tiny, high-intensity focal point. By focusing 1,000 watts of solar energy into a beam that reaches roughly 3,000ยฐF, the lens creates an extreme thermal gradient within the rock. This rapid, uneven heating causes the surface to expand much faster than the interior, creating massive internal stress. Since rocks are brittle and poor conductors of heat, they canโ€™t dissipate this energy quickly enough, leading to thermal shock that literally rips the solid structure apart in seconds. #SolarPower #PhysicsIsFun #FresnelLens #RenewableEnergy #ScienceExperiment
