ZAThe new Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon is the world’s thinnest Customizable Flying Tourbillon making it one of the most technically impressive timepieces released at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026 and it pushes Piaget even deeper into territory the brand practically owns: ultra-thin high watchmaking.
While the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon is thinner at 1.85 mm, it is produced in extremely limited, non-bespoke batches (often only 20 pieces). In contrast, Piaget's Infinitely Personal program allows for high levels of customization on the AUC platform.
What makes this watch so special is that it combines two things that are extremely difficult to achieve together:

• a flying tourbillon complication

What makes it so impressive is that Piaget managed to fit a flying tourbillon (one of watchmaking’s most complex complications) into a case thinner than most movements alone. To achieve this, the caseback actually becomes part of the movement itself, eliminating unnecessary layers and pushing ultra-thin engineering to an extreme.
The watch also reflects Piaget’s signature blend of technical innovation and artistry, incorporating tiger’s eye stone details into the design for added warmth and character.

At roughly 2mm thick, the entire watch is thinner than many standard watch movements alone. For perspective:
