I wanted to share something personal. Years ago I was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease. My Dad had the same disease and was blessed with 30 more years of life and was blessed with 30 more years with my Dad.

My kidney function has declined to the point where I now will need a kidney transplant. I am thankfully now on the transplant list with the Loma Linda Transplant Institute.
While I’m grateful to be on the list, the wait for a deceased donor kidney can be several years. A living donor transplant often happens much sooner and typically has better outcomes.
Because of that, I’m reaching out to ask if anyone would be willing to consider being tested to see if they could donate a kidney. Even if you’re not a match for me directly, you may still be able to help through paired donation programs.
Testing is confidential, and simply getting tested does not commit you to donating. The transplant team will carefully evaluate everything to make sure it is safe for the donor.
