✨Recipe:
Ingredients:
• 1 ¾ cups Sprite
• ¼ cup jolly ranchers
• ½ tbsp sodium alginate
• 2 tbsp calcium lactate
• 4 cups warm water
Directions:
1. In a small pot on low heat, combine sprite and jolly ranchers until fully melted and mixed.
2. In a blender, combine the jolly rancher mixture with the sodium alginate and blend until completely smooth. Let sit for 15 minutes to eliminate air bubbles.
2. Meanwhile, prepare the calcium bath: mix calcium lactate into warm water until fully dissolved.
3. Using a dropper or rounded spoon, gently drop the alginate mixture into the calcium bath. Let the boba pearls form and sit for 1–2 minutes, swirling occasionally so they don’t stick together.
4. Scoop the finished boba out with a slotted spoon or strainer, then rinse twice in cold water.
5. Repeat the process until all the Jolly Rancher mixture is used, then serve and enjoy! 🍬🍹
