I resisted the label of “mother”. 👇⁣ ⁣ Because so much of my early days were taken up by breastfeeding, bouncing, and learning to take care of a baby – that label felt like the one thing I could resist.⁣ ⁣ Because I wasn’t *just* a mom…⁣ ⁣ I was a partner, a business owner, an engineer, a runner, a weightlifter…⁣ ⁣ All those parts of my identity that felt like they were slipping away from me.⁣ ⁣ If I accepted the label of mom, that felt like defeat.⁣ ⁣ I was stuck between worlds.⁣ ⁣ I didn’t feel like the old me, but was afraid of finding the new me.⁣ ⁣ Constantly comparing.⁣ ⁣ Constantly feeling guilty for not keeping up with either version of how I thought I should be living.⁣ ⁣ If you’re still reading, just know that you’re not alone.⁣ ⁣ Here I am nearly 2 and a ½ years later and I’ve finally stopped fighting.⁣ ⁣ Not because I quit, but because it’s taken me this long to realize that all these things can exist as part of my identity.⁣ ⁣ Life comes in seasons. This isn’t about weight. It’s about support. At 134 lbs, my body was holding onto weight because it was exhausted and stressed, not because I wasn’t trying hard enough. I kept adding coffee… thinking more energy would fix it. But no matter how many cups I drank, the exhaustion stayed the stress stayed and my body stayed in survival mode. When I finally gave my body natural support, (especially for my nervous system) everything shifted. The stress softened. My energy became steady. My body finally felt safe enough to let go. We’re parenting in isolation, often without the support systems that used to surround us. We’re holding ourselves to impossible standards. And we’re doing it all while juggling work, home, relationships, and the pressure to “get it right.” What we don’t often hear? Mothers who spend all day with their children experience higher cortisol levels than those in 98% of other occupations. That means caregiving—especially when done alone, without breaks—is one of the most biologically stressful roles there is. This isn’t about doing less for our children—it’s about understanding that doing everything at the expense of our own well-being isn’t sustainable. And it isn’t necessary. One of the best ways you can show up for others 🕊️ You can comment CARE to grab the recipes and some other favorites that are easy to bring to friends in need, new moms, family who had surgery etc. Taking the load off of someone by bringing a meal helps so much. And it doesn’t have to be complicated. I love doing a dinner that can be reheated, a sweet treat, and snacks to munch on. Take out, door dash, it all works! Just the act itself lets someone know you are there to help without asking “let me know if I can do anything” I’d love to know what’s helped you most in a difficult season ❤️share below to help everyone out #postpartumhealth #easymealideas

l’m 37 year old mom of 6, so a 20 step skin care routine and 30 minutes of red light therapy aren’t really an option for me. So here is the little routine I do when I want to glow up quickly without taking too much time away from my family! 💕 Today we are going over my nighttime routine which is where most of the magic happens. When I am consistent with this routine I see a noticeable change in my appearance and confidence. It’s 30 minutes of self care and just basic hygiene but l do it when the kids go to bed. Yes some nights this cuts into my sleep but the 30 minutes it takes to care for myself is worth it and fills my cup. Now remember, this a 21 day boot camp series so not every video is going to be a practical routine to do day in and day out 365 days a year. But it is a quick way to get yourself in the groove of taking care of yourself, get you some confidence, and looking and feeling good in your skin! Next up in the series will be my morning skincare routine which is going to be much shorter since my kids are my alarm clock, but it’s effective when consistent with it! I know I talk fast so here is the PM routine breakdown 🦷 Brush teeth and apply whitening strips 🚿 In the shower: Wash face, body, hair. Use scalp cleaner to really get in there with the shampoo. Then apply lip scrub and grate the feet to get the dead skin off 🧖‍♀️ Skin care: Apply retinol. While that absorbs apply lotion all over body using tanning drops in each pump of moisturizer for an easy glow ✨ Apply facial moisturizer then seal it all in with aquaphor. 💇‍♀️ Hair care: Depending on the day apply hair oil or serum (I will go more in depth on hair care for each day of the week throughout this series🤗) What’s your night routine look like? #postpartumhealth #postpartumgoals #postpartumfitnessjourney #postpartumwellness #momselfcare #momoflittles #selfcareformoms #2under2 #momlifebelike

A harsh reality of motherhood that most people don’t see or prepare you for. You just learn as you go. This time around the losing hair and postpartum acne tried to get the best of my mind, emotions and overall confidence. I’m determined to not just “survive” motherhood but to THRIVE in it. What a blessing it is to truly lay my life and body down for my babies. To be able to cultivate and birth life. To be a portal between heaven and earth. That which is unseen becoming seen through my willingness to embrace the miraculous; challenges and all. I love it more than words can say.
