My favourites were their signature Crab Claypot Rice 🦀- super flavourful, and Apam Balik - pillowy pancake texture with a soft chewy slab of mochi right in the middle, finished with kinako powder and a side of corn cream 🌽 Honestly didn’t expect to like this rendition of soft Apam Balik, but I LOVED IT! 💯 — Special shoutout to their Kueh Bahulu & Salted Egg Yolk Puffs (the traditional ones are usually with oozing Kaya 🤤) which I felt were absolute standouts as the petite fours! We have bookmarked this spot since last year and glad we made it to Terra Dining KL, one of the most exciting new restaurants in the city in the past two years! Every course tells a Malaysian story. Cherry Duck from Penang, Slipper Lobster from Sabah, Bamboo Clam from Johor Bahru, Cocoa from Chemor, Perak, and more. It is a gastronomic journey to say the least. A little midweek reset over a wonderful meal 🌿✨ We spent the evening at @edenrestaurantsg @pullmansingaporeorchard, getting a taste of their new à la carte menu, now led by Executive Chef Eric Seow. It leans into Modern Asian cuisine, with bold flavours and thoughtful twists that keep things interesting. There’s a nice balance across the menu. You’ll find elements of smoke, char, spice, citrus, and umami woven through the dishes. The starters already had us hooked with the Drunken Foie Gras Terrine and Kam Heong Octopus Tentacles 🐙. The Laksa Lobster Bisque was rich and full of flavour. From there, we moved on to dishes like the Rendang Australian Wagyu Beef Cheeks and Cantonese Honey Char Siew Iberico Pork Collar, with a surprising Kung Po Artichoke Barigoule in the mix. It’s one of those menus that feels familiar, but with such thought and creativity behind it. A lovely spot if you’re in the Orchard area and looking for something a little different, without it feeling too formal 🤍 #EdenRestaurantSG #Pullmansingaporeorchard #PullmanSingapore

Terra Dining in Kuala Lumpur, led by Chef YC Chong, builds a menu around Malaysian flavours that are shaped into clear, single-direction dishes rather than layered interpretations, and the progression holds when each plate commits to one dominant idea. Blini with smoked pike conger serunding mousse and caviar is direct, the serunding kept dry so the smoke stays defined, with caviar adding a precise saline edge instead of weight. Fried mochi with shiitake, tofu and “duckkwa” leans on chew and fermentation, the bean curd adding depth without overtaking the dish. Squid in “Laksabayon” form carries Sarawak laksa XO with a proper crustacean base, not just spice, allowing the squid’s sweetness to come through cleanly. Slipper lobster with otak otak and bamboo clam is adjusted towards contrast, with spice cutting through the shellfish instead of reinforcing sweetness, while heirloom tomato with tomato water and rasam oil is sharply built, using acidity and pepper heat to reset the palate. Mystery fish with masak lemak beurre blanc is the strongest expression of the kitchen, coconut integrated into a stable beurre blanc so richness, acidity and pandan move in a single line. Duck breast with Teochew braise jus and duck liver ngo hiang follows with clarity, the soy depth clean and the five spice contained, while the wagyu with rendang beef cheek and Thai basil palak is pared back so reduction and spice no longer overwhelm. Guava and kedondong sorbet is clean and sour, while carrot halwa tart with thosai ice cream introduces needed contrast through temperature and texture. The petit fours, from pandan sponge with caramelised banana to snowskin ang ku with cashew “char siu” praline, close with definition rather than excess sweetness.
