My second year volunteering for #assistanceleague #promday at Emerson College. Over two hundred homeless teens handpicked by their school counselors for academic excellence. The girls were treated like princesses as they chose a prom dress, shoes, purse, jewelry, make up & hair products. I helped two girls find the dress of their dreams. Through all of their struggles & adversity these girls were magnificent, humble & sweet. Someone asked me if I was tired from the day? Nope! I feel invigorated & full of joy! 💕 My girl chose the third blue dress in the beginning of the video. @assistanceleagueoflosangeles #assistanceleagueoflosangeles

Eligible students can shop through hundreds of donated gowns, accessories, and tuxedos for free to wear to their prom. Student eligibility (must meet at least one of the following requirements): 1.) Student receives a service through the Allegheny County Department of Human Services 2.) Student's household qualifies as low-income or is eligible for free or reduced-price school lunch 3.) The 2026 - College, Career and Prom Readiness Event was AMAZING! 👏 We had eight high schools attend the academic days. 🎉 Over 400 students came through the open house on Saturday.😊 160 Volunteers in 6 days.🙏 And close to 1000 dresses went out the door! Unbelievable!!💃 Thank you to all that jumped in last minute with your accessory donations - they went to wonderful students, who truly appreciated them. Thank you to the students that came and found their perfect prom dress, and thank you to ALL the volunteers. We truly could not have done it without you.
