Muscle strength is one of the strongest predictors of longevity, metabolic health, and healthy aging. Evidence shows that heavier resistance training (around 6–8 reps) can improve: • muscle mass • bone density • metabolic health But the key most people miss is slow, controlled movement. Slower lifting increases time under tension, activates more muscle fibers, and helps protect the joints. Research suggests that about 25–30 g of high-quality protein per meal is the amount needed to optimally stimulate muscle protein synthesis. When protein is distributed evenly throughout the day, it may support better muscle maintenance, metabolic health, and healthy aging. Many people struggle to reach 90–100 g of protein per day, especially if breakfast is light. One simple strategy: start your day with ≥30 g of protein. After my workout, I upgrade my morning coffee: ☕ Coffee / espresso • Whey protein (≈28 g protein) • Marine collagen (≈9 g) • Milk foam (≈5 g) • Creatine (supports muscle performance and recovery) • MCT oil (may support fat metabolism) This simple routine gives me ~40 g of protein in one cup, making it much easier to reach my daily protein goal.
