DRProud sister post. My brother has volunteered at his kids’ high school for years. He wrote a grant to make this happen and, with the help of a committee, pulled the whole thing off last night. I am so freaking proud of him.
If you’ve been here a while, you’ve heard me say how grateful I am for parents who encouraged my brother & me to dream big in terms of celebrating others.
They let us take furniture out of the house to create “other worlds” for parties or even small get togethers. They helped us pull off wild celebrations (surprising friends early in the morning, pulling them from bed, and bringing them to big breakfast gatherings at our home) and more.
If you are a parent, help your child dream about big things that are specific to them. When they grow up, they’ll not be stopped by thinking they can’t. Way to go @jeremydodgen for offering such a gift to your @rhsaparts community.
