RefWorks was a lifesaver for me during school! It is a cloud based tool for managing citations and creating bibliographies. Let me te — ⭐️ REFWORKS ⭐️ RefWorks was a lifesaver for me during school! It is a cloud based tool for managing citations and creating bibliographies. Let me tell you how it is helpful: Let’s say you are reading a study on PubMed that you want to use for your paper. All you would have to do is click the “save to RefWorks” button that you have already added to your toolbar and all the citation information automatically uploads to the RefWorks software. Here, you click the check mark box next to each article you want added to your bibliography, choose a formatting style (FNPs looooooove APA format 😜), copy to clipboard, and add it to your paper! I used to dread the references section of my papers. Not any more. You shouldn’t either! This tool is a time and grade saver! I was able to download it through my University’s library page for FREE! The majority of college students who plagiarize do so accidentally – and accidental plagiarism is often the result of forgetting to cite or not properly citing sources. UNC students can use RefWorks to easily create citations. When you find an article in a library database that you want to cite, find the Export button and select “Export to RefWorks” and Save. RefWorks will automatically open. Then select “Import.” Click on “Go to Last Imported.” Select the article and click on the Quotation Mark to create a bibliography. Choose from over 6,000 citation styles. Copy your formatted citation to the Clipboard and paste it into your Word Document (or Google Doc or wherever). Your formatted citation is now in your research paper. Always check over the citation, because any automated system can and will make mistakes. To sign up for a RefWorks Account, go to Databases on the University of Northern Colorado Libraries website (https://libguides.unco.edu/az.php?a=r). You need to use your @bears.unco.edu or @unco.edu email address. The RefWorks Library Guide (https://libguides.unco.edu/refworks) has further instructions and links to how-to videos.
