Marley grew up in poverty in rural Jamaica and later in the tough neighborhoods of Kingston, so he saw firsthand that money didn’t necessarily bring happiness or freedom. Through his connection to Rastafari movement, he believed that true wealth was spiritual living with purpose, faith, and freedom rather than chasing material success. So when a journalist asked him if he was rich, Marley flipped the question and asked, “What do you mean, rich? Possessions make you rich? I don’t have that type of richness. My richness is life.” He wasn’t denying that he was successful; he was making a point that real richness comes from life, love, music, and spiritual fulfillment, not money. - Follow @curiocity.official for more - - #BobMarley #BobMarleyQuotes #ReggaeLegend #ReggaeMusic #Rastafari MusicHistory LegendaryArtists MusicIcons WiseWords QuoteOfTheDay LifePhilosophy ReggaeVibes Jamaica OldSchoolMusic CuriosityShorts What It Was Really Like Being John Lennon’s Son

Bob Marley & The Wailers - Jamming (1977) Released in 1977 on the album Exodus, “Jamming” is one of Bob Marley’s most recognizable and uplifting songs. It wasn’t a major chart-topper on its own, but over time it’s become one of his defining records and a staple in reggae music. The word “jamming” here isn’t just about music, it’s about freedom, unity, and coming together. That’s really what Marley was about during this period. He had just survived an assassination attempt in Jamaica in 1976 and went into exile in London, where Exodus was recorded. That context gives the song a deeper meaning, even though it sounds light and celebratory on the surface. The groove is classic reggae. The off-beat guitar chops, the steady bassline, and that relaxed drum pattern all come together perfectly. It feels effortless, but that rhythm is what makes the song so infectious. Lyrically, it’s simple but powerful. Marley wasn’t trying to overcomplicate things, he was spreading a message that people could feel instantly. That’s why the song works in so many settings, whether you’re just listening on your own or in a crowd. This is one of those songs that captures everything people love about Bob Marley. The message, the sound, the feeling, it’s all there. Classic Tune #bobmarleyandthewailers #jamming #1977 #70s #reggae #exodus #bobmarley #thewailers #classic #tune

Bob Marley went from working as a welder to becoming a world famous music legend. At 14, Bob left his small hometown and moved to Trench Town in Kingston, Jamaica. To earn money, he worked long hours as a welder. It helped him survive, but it was not what he wanted to do with his life. One day, a piece of metal flew into his eye while he was working. The injury was painful and became a wake up call. Bob decided to quit his job and focus fully on music. Bob loved reggae music because it spread messages of hope, love, and unity. In his free time, he played music with his friends Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh. They later met Joe Higgs, a musician who became their mentor and helped them improve. In 1963, Bob and his friends formed The Wailers. Life was not easy. They struggled to find shows, made little money, and were rejected many times. Sometimes they played for almost nothing. But they did not quit. In 1972, their big break came when a record producer named Chris Blackwell heard their music and signed them to Island Records. Their album Catch a Fire helped bring reggae to the world. In 1977, Bob released Exodus with songs like One Love and Jamming. It turned him into a global star. Bob once said, “Love the life you live. Live the life you love.” Bob Marley teaches us that doing what you love is the key to living a fulfilling life. Stay true to yourself. ➝ 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 @evancarmichael #Believe #BobMarley #BelieveInYourself #FollowYourDream #MusicLegend #ReggaeMusic #DreamBig #NeverGiveUp #SuccessStory

Ele continua o legado de seu pai! Damian “Jr. #reggae #reggaemusic #jah #marley
