AUThere’s something peaceful about visiting beach towns in the winter. While the beaches are more empty, many shops and restaurants remain open. After an overnight trip in an Airbnb tiny house (@the.saltbox), here are a few highlights from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware:
1) Watching the waves crash onto the beach just off the almost 150-year-old Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk,
2) Wandering down Rehoboth Avenue stopping into shops like @browseaboutbooks, a large gift and bookstore with an impressive kids section,
3) Finding murals like @bellap01’s art outside the original @dogfishhead brewery,
4) Grabbing lattes at @riseupcoffee, a Maryland-based roastery that started brewing fair trade and organic coffee beans out of a truck,
5) Sipping on a sour that tastes like cherries and Swedish fish at @thompsonislandbeer,
6) Eating shiitake mushroom and caramelized quiche in nearby Lewes at @thestationonkings, a cafe/bakery/garden center,
7) Exploring lighthouses and a bunker at Cape Henlopen State Park, a park on a former military base.
