DRThis clip gives you a glimpse of what it's like to live in Iran under the current regime. The minute they hear the police whistles you can see the genuine look of fear on their faces. Every aspect of life is controlled by the state, and FYI Homosexuality is punishable by death in Iran, drinking alcohol is punishable by lashings, and repeated offences can lead to execution as well.
The people of Iran have a right to protest and demand a government that represent them.
At the same time, do not forget that The CIA & MI6 pulled a coup in Iran in 1953. Ousting the DEMOCRATICALLY elected Prime Minister of Iran, and in doing so, they consolidated the power of the Shah ....aka the father of Reza Pahlavi (Mohammad Reza Pahlavi), who was then exiled in 1979 during the Islamic revolution.
It's not a coincidence that pro-western voices are trying to convince us that "the people of Iran want him in power". Be CRITICAL!!!
Reza Pahlavi is the son of a MONARCH, his claim to power is founded on "birthright/inherentance of the throne".
The people of Iran deserve human rights as much as anybody else, but let us not believe that America or Israel will "free the people".
Their desire is to break the current regime, so that they can control Iran and exploit their resources.

PAYesterday members of the House of Lords spoke out to defend our right to protest for Palestine during the debate on the Crime and Policing bill. As @lordpeterhain said, government proposals are "disproportionate, dangerous and profoundly undemocratic."
On Monday 45+ civil society organisations joined PSC in issuing a statement condemning the government's planned erosion of our civil liberties.
Over 100 MPs have signed a parliamentary motion opposing the government's proposals to curtail the right to protest and over 100 lawyers and legal experts wrote to the Home Secretary last year calling on the government to drop these draconian proposals and repeal existing anti-protest legislation.
Shamefully, instead of listening to the public, the government is clamping down on our democratic rights in order to maintain its complicity in Israel’s genocide. We won’t be silenced. Sign our petition and march with us on the 31 January to demand that Britain stops arming Israel.
