Two months ago I couldn’t run 2km. When I signed up for the Run2Cure 5km, I thought my general fitness would get me through. I was very wrong. Running is a whole different game. But I kept going. Because every time I wanted to stop, I thought of @tom.buckland.01 , @bec.buckland and of course, Harry. If they can face childhood cancer with strength and courage, then I could push through a few sweaty kilometres. We hit our fundraising target and decided to up the challenge to 10km. Our training lacked. I got sick. Race day hit at 27 degrees. The hills felt never ending. But we did it. As we crossed the finish line, I was hit by a wave of emotions. I had done the hard thing. I had achieved something I never thought I could and felt so proud. It does not change the long and tough road ahead for Harry, but by raising money for research, we are helping give him and other kids like him a fighting chance. Fundraising is open for all of April. If you have not donated yet because you did not think I would do it… well, here is the proof. So go do it (please)! Lindsay May is a long time employee of and a valued member of the Savcon Team. In June of 2017, at just 10 weeks old, Lindsay and Jill’s son Huey was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma Cancer.
